Why hasn't legion received a well needed buff.

I feel the devs have completely abandoned legion. I love the killer but his power is so weak, I mean the counter is to just run in the opposite direction or stay on a pallet.

Is really sad to get the first hit during frenzy and that's it, no more hits cause everyone else was too far or just immediately started running away, and the one add on that increases frenzy time makes you run slower.

Is either run for longer but slower, or run for a small time and apply some status effects if you do get multiple hits.

Plus the power recharges so slowly, I mean, you got killers with powerful abilities like Wesker, nurse or Blight that get their powers back so fast, and yet legion's takes forever, it goes away if you miss a swing or hit an object and if survivors are not close together you don't really get much value.

I see killers that didn't even need changes like huntress and doctor get their little buffs, and legion yet remains with one of the weakest powers in the game.

I'm sure there could be some tweaks to be done to the killer so you can get some more value from it but I really don't see that happening any time soon.

because a lot of legion's kit got nerfed a long time ago. he used to have very low power cooldown. i don't rememebr exact numbers but it was around 12-14 seconds. the next buff is allowing legion to feral frenzy deep wound the timer but putting some items/drawback that allows legion to miss/misplay. i imagine it is too difficult for them to continue to balance legion beyond what he is now. as a result, he has stayed the same.

I have probably the most hours on Legion, but I don't think they really need much. They're fine where they are, especially after their last buffs.

@Tatariu suggested letting Legion see blood in Frenzy, something like that could be a decent option for a buff without changing them significantly

Tatariu"s changes were always very restrained and reasonable, and mostly minor tweaks and QoL changes to make Legion mostly feel better to play without pushing his strength anywhere silly.

It's refreshing to listen to him (and yourself), because it's clear he just wants to have fun playing Legion, not make him a wrecking machine, and I think anyone would be hard pushed to argue against his suggestions.

Ehh.. I feel like Legion is in a very weird spot rn, and not much is gonna change. Legion is kinda like old Freddy, like the old old pre-rework Freddy. He is a massive noob stomper. Especially after they added the chain-hits Frenzy down but on high level of play he is very weak and easily countered. And that's the biggest problem. You make him stronger - he becomes even more annoying to face for new players. I'm starting to feel that he might be impossible or at least VERY hard to balance. Previously there were some things in Legion's kit, that could have been changed to make him feel better on higher level of play (lowering fatigue, no power gauge depletion on m1, power recharge in fatigue) and they actually did it. Did it help him much - not really (Except the fatigue change. 4 seconds of fatigue was way to much idk what were they thinking back then)

And after years and years of playing this killer, I'm in a spot where I'm not sure what will happen with him in the future. His design has always been problematic to balance.

Also changes like making blood pools visible in Frenzy won't change much. He will still suffer from the same problems.
