I keep getting players that are really bad, really low ranks and its ruining my games its not fun can dbd pls fix the lobbies im gonna insane

    The prestige doesn't mean much.

    However if you die often (or DC) you may find yourself in MMR hell.

    At the same time, when you hover your grade the tooltip doesn't explain at all that it's purely used for end of month rewards and not matchmaking. That probably should have been added a long time ago.

    Do you mean prestige 100 or grade? Because the grades are not your matchmaking, you can play against people with several thousands of hours with ash IV xD

    There is no visual indicator for skill in lobbies. You can't see anyone's grades anymore, not that it mattered since grades have no effect on matchmaking.

    Likewise prestige doesn't tell you anything about someone's skill. I could have thousands of hours as a survivor and be a comp player but then switch to a survivor I only prestiged for their perks. Would that make me play worse? Probably not. For killers, prestige says slightly more because experience on specific killers matters but it's still not enough to tell whether or not someone will be a particularly good player.
