How shuffled is your chaos?
Welcome all survivor or killer alike just thought I'd see how chaos shuffle is treating everyone else in terms of actual variety?
In the first version of the game I got no mither in over 50% of my survivor games (no so shuffled!)
This time out i've had (50 survivor games)
Breakdown 43%
Inner strength 32%
Hyper focus 15%
On killer (only 10 games) I've had bloodhound 4 times (40%)
This isn't so much a complaint just more of a curiosity how others are doing? Noticed any particular perk that seems to be loaded in every 2 or 3 games??

I've had Breakdown and Hyperfocus alot too! Also Fogwise.

The game seems to love giving me Fire Up this time around. I haven't tracked how often it has happened but it feels close to 50%.
Other than that it has been very random indeed. I even got some pretty decent builds.

Funnily enough, the game has given me Breakdown many times.

I've been getting Thrilling Tremors a bunch personally. Kind of a throwback to 2019/2020 time where people were actually considering that perk as an alternative to BBQ somewhat.
Also fun fact: True Randomness can actually tend to not feel random to the human brain. There's a bunch of cognitive biases that play into this feeling, a big part of this is the Gambler's Fallacy.
We tend to think that randomness will prevent patterns from emerging in the short term, when in reality, it's perfectly possible for huge strings of the same event to occur back to back in a random scenario. Like if you flip a coin, and it lands on heads 5 times in a row, you kind of inherently expect tails to appear because it's "due", when in reality the chance of getting a tails is completely unaffected by the previous events.
To prevent this, some instances of random selection are rigged to weigh the more recently selected options away from being selected again (a good example of this is playlist shuffling on music apps, they tend to do this afaik). This is inherently less random (as you're literally rigging the selection process), but to the brain, it feels more random than actual true randomness, as you get that nice uniform distribution with a lack of repeating patterns.
I'm rambling a bit but how the brain perceives random chance is very interesting!

I can’t say I’ve noticed a trend in my own Chaos Shuffle perks. I’m 99% sure that it’s just confirmation bias but the No Mither players seem to be a little bit better than the rest of the team at looping.

I’ve gotten Weaving Spiders like 5 times.

Yeah the shuffle aint so much a shuffle. My friend has gotten Self Preservation 5 games in a row. Definitely seem to not have all the perks in the pool or they're weighted differently.

This post is why I can't get true RNG shuffle on music apps

Fun little read thank you! I do whole heartedly agree I'm sure its plenty random & void of rigging & my brain certainly is wired to look for patterns being a stats nerd of sorts. But if I'm going to get a perk over & over I wish it could be something more useful than breakdown!
Glad to see its not just me friend! I hope its being kind to your Freddy! My trapper has had a very bad run on perks but thankfully survivors still seem more than happy to constantly jump into traps!

Done with it for now but I had Streetwise in what felt like about half my Survivor games. Got Strength in Shadows a lot too but I'm not complaining.

Did a few matches last night and in one match 2 of us spawned in with No Mither — a probability of 0.13%. I have a feeling that the devs specifically coded shuffle mode in a way where certain perks are favored to show up with higher percentages, in this case No Mither, to increase killer wins or offer them easy matches here and there.

Well, my friend, I didn't play much killer in Chaos Shuffle because I think the mode is more fun as survivor, but the few games I did play had some mixed results.
There was one trial I got CI, Pain Res and Call of Brine, but in the very next one I got three TR perks which were absolutely useless on Freddy.

Ouch on the terror radius! I've had blood warden 3 times but they never opened the gate. I'm also sorry to hear of Freddy's delayed rework I rarely watch the streams ao read it here very disappointed

Haha, that is literally what happens every time I try to use Blood Warden. Ever since the EGC was added to the game I've almost never managed to use the perk.
And yes, the situation sure isn't looking good for Freddy mains, my dear friend. I don't understand how can Plague and Cenobite possibly be a greater priority than Freddy, since neither of them have been in need of a rework for years, but here we are I suppose.
Gotta go through the Halloween event with the weakest and most boring iteration of Freddy in the history of DBD.

I've played less than 10 games and had No-Mither personally twice, and seen it on other Survivors also twice, so that's enough of that.

I seem to be blessed by my man Nicolas Cage himself. I love all his perks so I will gladly channel his energy

The same non-shuffle than on version1, just with different perks on higher chances.

I had a game today where three survivors got No Mither.
As Mirror Myers, I've had Hex Plaything three times, which actually turned out to be effective slowdown becsuse they all got cleansed.

My first match's build included: boil over, flip flop, power struggle. Kinda weird lmao. I guess they've tweaked something about randomizer?
