Buffs to Myers when?
I seem to remember was going to receive changes soon but in the end as always the devs don't give information.
I don't know if because it is a licensed chapter these reworks/nerfs/buffs should be consulted but Myers is aa killer with a power obsolete in the current metagame.
I propose this changes:
-Increase lunge Myers tier 1.
-Myers tier 1 has a base speed of 4.4ms.
-Myers tier 2 has a terror radius of 24 meters. (is a M1 killer)
-The duration of the level 3 evil within is reduced from 60 to 45 seconds.
-Myers now has no limit the number of times can level up for each survivor.
(For example if Myers stalks survivor A and can go up to level 2 but can't go up to level 3, must to search the survivor B, and when a survivor is save down from a hook the evil withing is reset allowing him to stalk the survivor more times but it requires hanging.)
With these changes Myers would be much more playable and challenging.

Myers is set for a change but, just like Freddy, we don't know when they'll change him.

Myers don't need a complete rework just buff power so can level up more times in a match.
Skull merchant just needed to remove the effects haste and hinder on drones.
Now one who's going to get frustrated is the killer, buw who's cares no?Fredy always been weak and when finally is a decent killer is destroyed.

Myers? devs can't remove the addons to kill survivors because there are players would need to get achievement anyway Myers is so weak and would be an insult to consider some nerfs.

For a horror/slasher icon such as Myers to be near enough untouched in so many years is just a shameโฆ
He feels and looks so outdated compared to more recent polished killers.

I will always peddle my suggestion for a Myers rework to anyone who will listen.
The one thing I'm afraid of is him getting something hokey, like a teleport, the ability to phase walls, or something that just isn't true to Myers. I also don't want him to lose his identity... he is the best realised killer thematically than any other killer... and that needs to stay even if he isn't the strongest in the game.
I'm quite proud of this rework for being even more faithful to the character, preserving the things evryone loves about Myers, removing his more unfair elements and giving him some much needed tools to make his time investment worth the payoff.
Note: I might also suggest a change in the stalk efficiency idea for Judith Myers Tombstone... something like 5% less stalk efficiency for JMT when stood still... but you understand the core concept I'm sure.

they are not gonna massacre the most iconic killer to nothingness like merchant. Myers is actually liked compared to dull merchant who is hated

He needs some changes to his kit, but these ain't it.
One really good idea I saw was from Mintskull, he made an entire video about it some time ago.
Some of the buffs included were giving him an ability to swap back and forth between tiers, buffed lunge and speed in tier 1, unlimited stalk points and also an option to mori someone basekit by stalking him for a really long time.

I suspect Freddy's changes will be more deeper than Mikey's. I always felt Mikey doesn't need an overhaul. Just buffs to his existing kit.

While I donโt want his add-ons to change I just donโt see the devs simply buffing a killer that can instantly kill survivorsโฆ and is the only killer in the game with the ability to do so.

Exactly my feelings. The core design of Mikey's power captures the feeling of the character perfectly. It just needs some buffs.

I can already predict how they will "rework" him: they will remove all the addons that allow him to kill survivors (which could be fine if his basekit will be buffed, but on that point i'm a bit skeptical...) while in T3, they will also REMOVE scratched mirror and vanity mirror (which i COMPLETELY DISAGREE since those addons are fun and not even so powerful as people claim), in exchange they'll remove the limit of stalk that you can get par person (honesty i reached that point ONLY when i was aganist bad survivors and i wanted to play with them without actually killing them, so this would be more a Qol change)

I'm admittedly sceptical and feel that the "tweaks" will only be some number adjustments and rework of both Tombstone add-ons. I'm holding out hope though, if only for the fact that Myers has at least been acknowledged as existing, as he felt pretty much forgotten.
IMHO he needs a more thorough rework to bring his gameplay/power up to par with similar killers released since his introduction way back in 2016 when DBD was a very different game to what it is today.

I don't think he's been forgotten, just he's a victim of his own success... By and large people love Myers even if he is weak... he has something like the 8th highest pick rate in the game... and as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke...
Stats wise he performs well typically, hitting a 61% killrate in the last stats release, but of course the issue is that he's artificially propped up by Tombstone Piece, which is literally the best add-on in the game.

I think people love Myers just because of who he is. His licence is doing a lot of the heavy lifting I'd say. His actual gameplay and tombstone add-ons feel antiquated. The latter of which do agree being the cause of his boosted kill-rate.
I love Myers/Halloween, but the clunkiness of his power and lack of any secondary utility or QoL features makes him feel very dated and in need of some love

I don't disagree, but one thing I will say is Myers is the best thematically realised killer in the game... the license can only take you so far if the gameplay doesn't match (Freddy), and as dated as his power is, he absolutely feels like you are playing Myers... both as and against.
He is also a lot of fun to build around; his power is simple, but it synergises really well with a lot of perks.
I'm not really making I point, but I suppose if I was it would be, I would rather he be weak and feel like Myers, than be strong and lose that feeling... and I imagine BHVR likely came together same conclusion... no need to update him, cause he's doing just fine ๐
Is why I've always pushed back very hard against things like teleports and wall phasing... itd be good... but it's just not Myers ๐

I do give you Freddy, although I think had Behaviour been able to secure the Robert Englund/Wes Craven Freddy, he could have gotten away with so much more than the poorly received 2010 version.
You do make a fair point about any substantial reworks running the risk of losing the feeling of Myers, but I do feel he could get away with some modernisation as well as some kind of secondary utility without losing his identity. As it stands in the current 2024 roster it just kind of feels like Ghost Face does everything Myers does, but with more control and options (ignoring tombstone)

MINTSKULL MYERS CHANGES SUMMARY:
- Secondary Power Button to switch between Evil Within Tiers, and trigger EW3
(Hold to switch between EW1 and EW2. Press to trigger EW3)
(Similar to Clownโs reload & bottle switch)- EW1 is now a part of Myers' power instead of being a punishment. Myers will finally be able to access undetectable on command like a true stealth killer without the need for add-ons
(Myers is the only stealth killer who loses access to undetectable)- Myers is now incentivised to stalk from afar instead of stalking up close
(Similar to Ghost Face stalking - More thematically appropriate to stalk from a distance)- Tombstone add on incorporated into basekit as a means to punish players for feeding stalk for free
- New animations to reference source material
- All add-ons reworked:
EW1 CHANGES:
- Remove Lunge penalty
- Increase speed from 4.2m/s to 4.4m/s
- Remove the stalking from a distance penalty
(Survivors now have to constantly watch all over the map to spot Myers in order to prevent him from getting a lot of stalk)EW2 to chase/attack normally
EW1 to ambush/stalk from afar
EW1 to EW3 with button press
STALKING CHANGES:
- Stalking limit is removed - Survivors will always feed Myers stalking points
(AFK crow affected players give no stalk points)- Survivors looking at you will reduce your stalk rate by a significant amount
(Incentivise stalking from unnoticed from afar rather than during chase)- "Overstalked" survivors will have their aura change to red
(Stalk level will passively decrease slowly while hooked)TOMBSTONE BASEKIT:
- If survivor's aura is completely red & have been hooked at least once. They can be tombstone/moried basekit
(now only the person who fed Myers a lot of stalk is directly affected, rather than another survivor who did nothing wrong)- Unique audio to play when you (the survivor) are close to being fully stalked
- Allow survivors to be moried both on the ground as well as in locker
(unique animation for both - Survivor pinned to the wall of locker with knife similar to Bob from 1978 movie)EW3 CHANGES:
- 10% speed boost on break actions and stun protection or 25% speed boost on all, but ensure it does not stack with any perks
- Cannot be activated while near a hooked survivor
- Stalk rate decreased while near a hooked survivor

Also if the nerf the scratched mirror wallhacks he gets for the speed up. It's sorta annoying that he always knows where you are with it.

Tombstone Piece is a given. That one add-on is literally the only thing that makes Myers competitive and halts any ability to buff the rest of his kit. JMT though is fine, I would be surprised if anything happened to it since it's pretty fair and iconic to the character.
Scratched Mirror is a meme and I think it will be fine. I don't like it myself cause the jump scare is predictable, and for the gameplay Myers kinda just annoys you into submission. He holds a 3 gen all game, slaps you, drops chase over and over. You win by healing and boosting away until the anti 3 gen kicks in... but there are a number of people find it scary and fun so I don't think it'll go. It's not like Scratched Mirror is unhealthy for the game.
I do wonder if he'll get a model/animations update at some point though, just to clean him up a bit and reduce the clipping on his Mori. That'd be cool ๐

I've not seen complaints about scratched mirror. What legit criticisms could people have to get that add on nuked. Its a fun meme.

Sadly theres way to many Survs complaining about all tombstones addons tuff of hair addon and mirror addons if he gets updated hes 100% getting these addons reworked

If you think infinite T3 is OP that's a skill issue. infinite T3 is very easy to beat.
