Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

^ 8.3.0 Patch notes.

What does this mean? Loading into the match with survivor bots because one disconnected since they didnt like a map offering or something? Didnt the entire community collectively rage about that idea and it was said that it wasn't being added to the game?

Would really like some clarification on that. I don't want to play with bots. Ever. I want the game to end as quickly as possible or not start at all. Stop trapping players in bad games. I'd play a PVE game if I wanted to play PVE

The way it's worded, I would guess that there was a window at the end of loading whereby a survivor DCing wouldn't kick everyone out but would instead load into the game as a bot, but with a bot that 'wasn't there'.

Tbf I have had a fair few killer games lately where survivors appear to load in AFK, then DC shortly after.

in general, I rather have a teammate than a bot load into the match if someone happens to DC while the match is being created. In solo qeue however, a bot is probably a better player let's be honest.

but yeah if this means you'll be forced into bot games if someone quits then that's a terrible idea. If that's what it means then it's just another day at bhvr where they implement changes that no one asked for, no one will appreciate, and you wonder why they thought it was a good idea in the first place.
