Why is Weave Attunement still not Killswitched while in a broken state?
I'd like opinions on why ya'll think the devs have just ignored this problem.
It is SIGNIFICANTLY degrading solo queue games to the point of unplayability. It is almost impossible to know where an item is revealing your aura BECAUSE IT STAYS ON SCREEN ALL GAME. I have yet to see any official statements on WHY this is being allowed to remain a CONSTANT GLARING ISSUE.

Killswitch is reserved for game breaking bugs, not stuff people think is OP.
That being said I played against it last night, and I think the most annoying part of the perk is that it's so hard to find the item that's giving the killer aura reading on some maps. Like I'd love to pick the item up and place it in a corner, but I can't find the damn thing.
Weave would be a lot less annoying to go against if survivors could see the aura of the item that was revealing them.

The Kill Switch is a recent feature added to Dead by Daylight. It gives us the ability to temporarily switch off any items/offerings/maps/cosmetics/characters that are causing game breaking issues in the game, to ensure continued enjoyment. When the Kill Switch is used, the item/offering/cosmetic/character/map will not be able to be selected. Maps are automatically removed from rotation, and they will remain unable to be selected in Custom Games.
you need to make sure to read what killswitch feature is meant for before asking for nerf of a perk.simply because "it's OP"

Don't worry, they're about to nerf it, probably in the same fashion as they did with Distortion.
Edit: Ok, sorry, didn't realize that the perk is actually bugged. My bad.

This isn't a "weave OP, Plz nerf" thread. The perk is currently broken in that the icon that pops up at the bottom showing you're in the area of the perk's effect never leaves screen. It's a bug issue, not a balancing issue.

Didn't seem like it at all when I played against it last night. It would be way more productive to make a post in the bug report section than to make this thread here in general in that case. I didn't find anything about this bug in bug reports.

I've only had it happen to me once personally, but fortunately... I had distorion on to let me know when I was ACTUALLY near an item. The perk isn't exactly super common though from my experiences.

Found this... someone made a recording.

Hopefully in the same patch where they make flashbangs have sound again.

Oh jeez, is this true? I've been messing around with a gimmicky Weave build lately (Weave + Human Greed + Hoarder, no Franklins) and I was surprised that people kept healing next to items and doing gens on top of their dropped toolboxes and other seemingly stupid plays. If it's bugged and people can't tell when it's active, I'll stop using it, that's pretty busted.

As of the most recent patch the perk is no longer bugged
7 -
Weaves icon is all that keeps that perk being considered balanced...without it solo q survivor is literally unplayable when it happens.
I thought this was fixed by now tbh

They've killswitched problematic perks before that were bugged. This is game breaking because it literally makes it impossible for one side of the players unable to discern whether it not they are actually safe or not. I don't see HOW that's not gamebreaking. It gives an unfair constant advantage.

It is bugged but its just the icon showing on your screen all the time when you pick an item up, they do not see your aura the entire time. Easy solution - don't pick up items. This is why I dont bring items into matches anymore because frankies/weave is everywhere.

No. Survivors are done with killer gaslighting. Until Bhvr. fixes their game survivors are going to keep giving up and i don't blame them one bit. So you know what you can do with your "don't pick up items" advice. (I'm talking about all the ways Bhvr. has made the game unplayable for survivors. This is just one example of that.)

Bhvr. wants this game to be unplayable for survivor. Why, I do not know, but it is so obvious.

it’s also way more productive to thoroughly read a post before responding to it.

its easy to counter, and its not broken.
It sounds more like "i dont like this perk, i dont think it should be in the game" to me.
I dont even play that often anymore and i still dont have any problems countering it.

The perk is broken in 2 different senses. It's overpowered and NOT easy to counter, and its bugged. So you are doubly wrong. I basically consider any killer who brings the franklins weave combination, even before it was bugged, as having the same mentality as a cheater. If we're going to let killers have all the most broken ######### imaginable then bring back buckle up for the people, bring back the bugged potential energy. With this new update Bhvr. has.made the game even more killer sided and I don't see how Bhvr. will get the message unless survivors stop playing or just start killing themselves on first hook every game.

Running perks means you have the same mentality as a cheater?
Who's your yoga teacher? You're REALLY good at stretching.
3 -
Well in the case of using it when it is bugged at least its not even debatable. Unless you think the potential energy exploit was fine as well.

Fair, but they should still put a bug report, complaining in general does nothing until someone has documented the bug.

Kinda, yeah. There was a time that Breakdown permanently broke hooks and suddenly SWFs all had to run Breakdown because they totally love Jeff Johansen. Or every killer suddenly running Merciless Storm because it resets gen progress to 0.

the perk gives tangiable value to killer → need nerfs.

if it is so broken, why doesn't otz for example put it S-tier in tier list? why isn't every single killer running it if it is auto-winning every match?

Ehh its just as bad as old MfT, largely a non-issue that doesn't acknowledge the drawbacks/mutual exclusivity. I'd take both functioning simultaneously, or neither. Regardless, old MfT had it's time in the sun, might as well let Weave Attunement have it's own time. It is on the roadmap, so personally I don't care enough about it.

As windows does for survivors?
And Weave is only strong all game if the survivors play bad, its so easy to counter.
Actually, it's not overpowered. Good survivors can counter it easily, and if you're struggling, that’s more of a "you need to figure out how to play around it" issue. I have explained how to counter it many times before, so I won't get into that again. The bugs were also fixed in the recent patch, so you might want to check the patch notes.
Do you think everyone using flashbang is cheating??
