Enduring shouldn't counter DS
Controversial opinion but I don't think stun reducers should affect DS. The whole point of getting off is that you have a chance to escape; the animation that plays while you're getting off the killer takes too long for enduring to be a counter. You will have 0.75 seconds to try and run away which sometimes isn't possible.
There's a reason enduring doesn't affect the stun time of normal escapes; because this exact thing will happen.
I'd love for the animation the survivor plays to be reduced, an increase to the duration of stun time on DS or just having enduring not counter it.

"Tunneling" is just a social combat term to stigmatize playing efficient and remove part of the team early by using peer pressure.
Enduring is SPECIFICALLY made to counter stun effects and you want to exclude the only perk that survivor can use to stun the killer? Are you serious?

I'd be fine with that if it didn't completely invalidate a perk (that can only be used once) with minimal effort. No skill counters like that shouldn't exist.

DS shouldn't count as a normal stun as it plays the animation of you getting off the killers back; which isn't affected by enduring under normal circumstances.

Survivor do have perks to hard counter killer abilities.
Dead Hard to run over beartraps or Small Game to spot them or spot Hexes with it or use Detective Hunch.
Distortion hard counter any aura reading perk.
For survivor it seems to be ok, right?

Enduring is for stuns, If Enduring didn't effect it then it's a guarantee and would be abused by SWF end game for essentially free escapes if the gates are open.
A little tip, if you know your going to go down try to get to a window or pallet, even if you slugged. If you're by a window or on a pallet you can get away easily, I've seen it many times. Or Alternatively you could combine it with Dead hard to dodge the next hit and get to a new loop.

I like how every killer main tries to pull these arguments whenever someone mentions this.

I hate calm spirit. It invalidates the doctor by existing and it sucks.
The difference is that instead of these perks hard countering survivor perks like it does with killer; it shortens survivor game time exponentially. How would you like it if your game ended in less than 5 minutes because a survivor ran perks that promote a certain playstyle "uhhh but it's efficient"

We have been through all the "just once" garbage. This is not true, because each survivor can equip it and the killer can get hit 4x!
That was the main issue about the bad balance of DS to begin with, I seriously can't believe that we go back to that point of the debate.

Enduring was made to counter pallet stuns.
Pallet perks, aura reading perks, instadown perks...it's almost as if all these tools are made for killers to go CHASE surviviors. Not just wait near the hook ready to tunnel the hell out of one guy as soon as he's unhooked.
Tunneling is just a tactic used by people too lazy or too bad at the game to play in any other way.

all these 'little" changes are made to make survivor more unfun. we can certainly see this in the player count lately when u look at the dbd charts. First we had killers that were unfun to play and now we are heading the other way.

yeah god forbid the killer go after the injured survivor they should turn their back and let the survivor run away to freedom and not try to kill them. someones injured in the game obviously you will go after them. the entitlement is unreal. so the killer should be punished then for trying to kill. i swear this community just gets more stupid over time

If survivors dont get to complain about getting targeted and having their game end quickly I never want to see you complain about gen rushing then. Simple as that. What goes around comes around.

Any survivor buff you propose will be shut down immediately. Good thing is that devs don't give a ######### about what people say in this forum so if they find it necessary to implement it, they will.

If your on a pallet you can stun them again by dropping it and If you do Fast vaults those are 0.5 seconds, Still quicker then the enduring stun.
But anyway can you not see the potential this perk has against a killer without enduring? If all 4 save the perk till end game, Usually end game doesn't last that long. That 1 minute immunity is very strong and gives you plenty of time to get to the exit gates.
I think the issue people have is that they're trying to use it like old DS. Trust me if you save this for end game it becomes a very good perk.
Not to mention a free escape shouldn't be a guarantee, It's a punishment to the killer for tunneling yes but in the end game tunneling has to be done or you loose.

I use it to counter tunneling. When a killer goes after me the whole game I'd appreciate a chance to get more bloodpoints or escape the cycle considering tunneling just ruins any chance I have at getting them while also ruining the experience at the same time.

1) Make sure the logic behind it is still consistent (i.e. if it won't work on Decisive Strike, it either shouldn't work while carrying a Survivor or it shouldn't work on any Stun perks.)
2) Make sure the perk description properly explains the logic behind what it may or may not work on (example: "Your rate of recovery from stuns is increased by X/Y/Z, except for stuns caused by Survivor perks." The perk's current description doesn't even properly note that it does not apply to Lightburn stuns or stuns caused by wiggling free, apparently.)

No your logic fails again here each survivor can still ONLY USE IT ONCE, so after they use it if they don't get slugged for 61 seconds. You're also using that faulty logic that it's on every survivor in every game which we also know is false.

This was a big point about all the DS complains since it got released!

I wouldn't worry about a 4 man. Barely anybody uses DS anymore, and even before 4 mans weren't every game. Often it was 2.
Also you have control over it now. Since the ptb first came out up until now I've only been hit with it once. There waa only 2 other occassions where it could have been used on me if the survivors brought it. That's not bad for weeks of play.
You'd have to be tunneling pretty damn hard to get hit by 4 DS now.

Oh so when you're getting tunneled of the hook it's called bad gameplay.. well yes when you're the killer that is. You NEED DS in these cases where the killer is stubborn and wants to chase you right of the hook AGAIN so yeah you seem like one of those tunneling killers; arent you

@The_Crusader That's the problem. They are hard tunnelers and they need enduring to affect the perk in order to continue to tunnel.
For tunnelers, nothing about DS got changed, it is actually hard buffed. It is worse for them now since they can not even avoid being hit by it.
That's why they are so against the idea that enduring should not affect DS.

I'll make you a deal. Enduring doesn't work on DS anymore, but if a different survivor gets downed other than the one that just got off hook, your DS deactivates. This means you weren't tunneled. This insures it's only for tunneling of which currently it is not.

Each survivor can only use it once, it's not equipped by 4 people in every game so stop using that logical fallacy in every one of your arguments. The only one who isn't listening here is you again because you keep using the 4 man swf nonsense.
FACT: DS isn't equipped on every member in every game and quite often isn't on more than 1-2 people and with the nerfs it's even less equipped.

It sounds like someone burned a DS, got hit right after because they ran into a burned part of the map during the chase leading up to it, and got smacked again, and this was obviously why they lost and for no other reason.
There is counterplay to a killer having enduring while you have DS. You can scout the perk with a pallet and, if you see they have it, make sure you go down in an area of the map with fresh pallets, a nearby good set of vaults, or just focusing on breaking chase instead of looping.

Actually I got off in a relatively open area then got hit almost immediately. The killer basically had no stun from my DS

This is complete nonsense. It sounds like you are very unaware at how miniscule the stun time is now. There’s nothing you can do if the killer had Enduring, you are downed within 2 seconds. Sounds like you are talking about DS prior to the rework.

That is what I'm saying. Don't go down on an open area, go down on a pallet you can then drop to make space. You can see he has enduring before he downs you. Plan for it.

You don't get to decide when the killer downs you though so saying don't go down in an open space is a fallacy argument. You're also assuming another survivor hasn't already wasted that pallet.
