Reworking Bad Perks: Huntress

Hey guys. I think its no secret that Huntress has the worst set of teachable perks in the entire roster of Killers. So we should give her a brand new set of perks that would give her more appeal. This way it could make her more favorable to new players to prestige her since she's one of the free Killers in the game. I put in some thoughts for these perks so I would appreciate some input and critique as long they are constructive and polite.

Beast of Prey: Reworked

Your lust for a kill is so intense that your connection with The Entity is momentarily lost, making you totally unpredictable. Upon gaining the Bloodlust Status Effect, Beast of Prey activates:

Any action that are not a Basic Attack or Special Attack including breaking pallets, vault windows, breaking walls, damaging generators, and snuffing totems is boosted by 30%/35%/40%. The perk would then go into cooldown of 25 seconds.

Territorial Imperative: Reworked → Scourge Hook: Territorial Imperative

Whenever you hook a unique Survivor, you gain a token up to a max of 4. Any ordinary hook that holds a Survivor will turn into a Scourge Hook for the rest of the trial. If there are already Scourge Hooks in the trial, the furthest one away will turn into an ordinary hook. Whenever Survivors are near the Scourge Hook, their auras will be revealed to you whenever they're in 14/15/16 meters of it unless they were the initial victim.

Hex: Huntress Lullaby: Reworked

A Hex rooting its power in despair. Your hunt is an irresistible song of dread which muddles your prey's attention. Whenever you hook a Survivor, you gain 2 tokens up to a max of 10 tokens. For each token, your Terror Radius grows in size by 2 meters.. Whenever a Survivor works on a generator or heals another Survivor within the Killer's Terror Radius, their actions are slowed by 20%/25%/30%.

I like these except for beast of prey, which is still bad. If you have bloodlust then you're just going to hit the survivor instead.

I'd change it so it removes bloodlust entirely, but still provides that buff, which would make it syngergize very well with Brutal Strength

Thank you for the feedback. Yeah, beast is so hard to rework despite how simplistic it is. I wanted to keep it intact with Huntress' motif as a beast of a woman whose actions are hard discern. Is she an animal or a woman who went simply berserk? I wanted to put bloodlust to use since its nothing but a stat that kicks in only after 15 secs in a chase. Its only purpose is to help pick up the pace so I thought, 'why not make it give it more than just a boost in speed in chases?' Bloodlust is a bad stat only up until it hits tier 3 so it needed some changes as to why I wanted it to be fired up but in a chase without having to sacrifice gens.

I think Territorial Imperative and Huntress' Lullaby are already in great shape. Beast of Prey is horrendous, though, and definitely needs changes.

What about combining the old and new effects of Beast of Prey to make it more useful? Something like:

Your lust for a kill is so intense that your connection with The Entity is momentarily lost, making you totally unpredictable.

Upon gaining the Bloodlust Status Effect, Beast of Prey activates:

    • Grants the Undetectable Status Effect.
      • This effect persists for 20/25/30 seconds after losing Bloodlust, or until a Survivor loses a health state.

This would allow you to give up chase and ambush another survivor, or make the survivor you were chasing think you might have given up chase when in reality you were doubling back to catch them healing.

I respectfully disagree. While the Hex has some uses in niche builds such as Doctor's 'Impossible Skill Check', it still pretty obsolete and needs some changes. Territorial is just way too situational to be any good as a perk. Unless you can't find a Survivor because they were hiding in basement the whole time, it should be something that is actively useful instead of just filling in a slot. Like TheGopher said, I think I should've removed the bloodlust mechanic in Beast of Prey and just make it have synergy with other perks like Brutal Strength and Bamboozle.
