Event is unbalanced and unfun

I've been playing the event a little. and one thing i notice every match is how unbalanced the void is. Killers are undetectable and can use their powers, they can instantly enter and exit the void. but survivors have to hold to enter and exit, and they are exhausted and broken. So many games, the killer sent a haunt and then m1's me. making me mostly instadowned. and on top of that, camping is even better now. i got hooked next to a portal multiple times, and when i got unhooked, the killer came from the portal instantly and did the haunt m1 instadown on me. It is super unfun to play as survivor, and i wont be playing the event again.

For any killermain who's coming to shittalk. This is my opinion, and i'm entitled to have one

I haven't had any issues with balance so far, to be honest. I'm loving the event.

Yeah, I've heard that it can be done. Thankfully I haven't seen it yet.

Worst I've seen so far was a Blight slugging someone at the endgame inside the void, because that was a hell of a difficult save.

Jumping down as my good friend, the Feng, used a Crystal was amazing, ngl.

Haunt into M1 is a valid criticism of this event.

I don't mind the other stuff though. In fact, long range haunts have been very fun for me without the M1 combo on stuff like Insidious Unknown or other stealth killers for jumpscares.

Slugging in the void is unacceptable imho. They should make it so survivors can self heal from the dying state with endurance in the void. All the other survivor handicaps are fine imho.

I'm experiencing the same when hooked near a portal. The killer just goes in and comes out when I get unhooked. Honestly, I'm letting it just wash off me. I've almost finished all the Tome challenges and then I'm just waiting for the next page. We have free will, just don't play it.

I play killer mainly nowadays and the event is just ridiculously sweaty, I can't recall an event being this bad for a long time.

There's zero point attempting to play the event because gen speed is ridiculous and you lose way too much pressure doing anything event related.

I've probably played about 25 games of the event and only had like 3 or 4 enjoyable games overall

I've been playing survivor farming the pumpkins lol. BP can really stack up doing them. Again, my mentality playing survivor is the same in this mode as it is in any mode... Probably not going to survive, teammates will probably be potatoes and not help or simply rat me out soooo just get as many points as I can by doing whatever I can, gens, saves, chases, pumpkins. Seems way more fun that way than going in with the "I want to win" mindset. If you want to win, go killer 🤷‍♂️ killer role isn't exclusive to killer mains.

Pumpkins are the only real point farm 250 with harm, 500, or 2k with haste. Making the smoke bomb is 500 for huge risks.

1-2 pumpkins are worth more then a gen is.

event sucks. killers are sweaty and survivors just kill themselves. most un fun ######### ever.

Funnily enough, I've had the opposite experience.

Most of my matches today have been extremely fun, but the few that weren't (no more than 5, thankfully), were caused by the killer players sweating.

Two in particular: a Xeno and a Hillbilly. And I don't understand why they did it it. Like, if you want to do everything you can to win, just play the regular mode. Xeno tunneled me to death at 5 gens, and the Hillbilly didn't interact with the event at all until I went to the void during a chase, and he chose to follow (actually dodged the chainsaw by entering the portal, that was kinda cool).

At that point I just switched to killer myself. If I can't play against a non-sweaty killer for the rest of the night, then I'll be the non-sweaty killer.

Halloween should be the #1 event of dbd it's horror afterall but the entire event feels rushed and bad.

This is the best thing I've read today. And I scrolled through 6 threads already.

The event is fine but survivor mains will always complain about the balance. Idk what survivors want. They'll completely forget that they get a smokebomb that practically garuntees an escape from chase and can block exit gate lights which is a crazy help for them.
