Something needs to be done about toxic "teammates"

Tell me why I'm the only one working towards the objective and yet I get ratted out?!

So if that's how it goes fine, I won't hook save, I'll just worry about myself if that's what's going to happen.

I'm telling people that this "Survive together… Or not" - is unhealthy feature for survivor players.

They need to play as a team and should be punished for trolling when they are not being a part of a team and not working towards the objective. Ratting your teammates should be even bannable.

It should be a Team vs Solo - and if a Team playing like a lonely wolfs - they shouldn't be surprised for dying in a lot of games.

Developers should encourage a team-play to make soloq much healthier.

YOU are doing your part, brother.

The more people get disappointed with this - the more lonely wolfs we will have. The secret is - survivors can't escape when they are not working together (healing, unhooking, etc.).

The main goal for survivor TEAM is - to have as much players as possible get through the gates. A team of lonely wolfs will ONLY have 1 guy escaped and it's 50\50 (hatch).

Look at how they play in the tournaments - that is the gameplay where survivor players should be heading.

The information is abit vague, why were you ratted out? Was it more your team only saw you doing gens, no hooks, chases or saves,no heals, no body block? If so that would be legit reason they did it.

If not and they was doing things like harassing the killer like pallet saving ( gpomg down on purpose) head on spams or in short doing bully stuff then they have no right to do that to you as they arent progressing the game.

Did the killer worked with them to rat you out? If so your team and the killer should be punished indeed and sorry that happen to you.

I’ve been telling people that if you want a team experience queue up in a SWF. The DBD discord has a whole channel for that very thing. DBD isn’t a ‘team’ game and it won’t ever be. Nor should it be. Some people like queueing as survivor and pursuing their own agenda (be that completing tome challenges, practicing looping, or something else entirely) which may not contribute toward 5 gens 2 gates so you (you as in a fellow survivor) can escape.

What I’ve found is that if you have not been hooked but were seemingly idle or hiding whenever another survivor was hooked, they might believe you were doing that all match—even if you were completing gens, healing, etc. if you don’t appear present during the match in a way where at least two other survivors can see that you were consistently advancing the game, you’ll probably end up griefed. But additionally some people are just possibly spiteful or cruel and will grief you anyway. No point dwelling on it. Record, report, and move to your next game.

Well I'm totally fine with finding a group to play with. Just do that all you want by anytime. :)

The challenges tho - usually they are: Unhook a survivor x times, repair x amount of gens, be chased by a killer for x amount of seconds, stun the killer in the chase x times, etc… - All those - participation in the basic gameplay\teamplay, no?

There should be no "own agenda" if you play in the team. If your fellow survivor on a hook - you shouldn't be running around like a headless chicken participating on your "own agenda".

You are ALLOWED to tho - and this is something I'm telling they shouldn't be allowed to. The developers need to make a game more team-based friendly. You wouldn't like it if your fellow survivor players would leave you on the hook\get to the second stage because they need to open the chest for the challenge, right?

You probably don't want that to happen to you, but you can't do anything about it - since it's not considered trolling and you can't report it - THIS should\must change for a better soloq experience.

Depending on the tome they could be cleanse X amount of totems, unhook a survivor who unhooked you earlier, loot X chests, escape through hatch, drop X pallets while in chase during this trial, run X perk, so on and so forth. Some challenges are more complex than just “heal survivor,” “be chased,” and “stun killer.”

And no I don’t consider a survivor performing time challenges—even if doing so throws the match—trolling or griefing. They’re legitimate objectives that the devs have put in the game.

If by ratted out you mean they take the killer to you, that's actually reportable as it's considered working with the killer. Support just needs to actually do something about it because from my experience they just let it slide. If there are actual consequences, even just a warning, then alot of people will stop doing it.

Well, if a teammate does the "Doing gens, you?", they kinda deserve to be ratted out.
    * Doing gens, you? is a reference to an old No0b3 video of a Claudette who were hiding around the map instead of actually doing the objective, despite No0b3 being chased for a good 20 minutes. (for those who don't understands the context of it)

I have played quite a few games where one teammate is always hiding away, never participating in anything, never going for unhooks, never doing gens, totems or what not. They just urban evasions away, and does nothing good for the team.

Support does ban survivor players who do it repeatedly if multiple other survivors report the person over a large amount of games. It just sucks that multiple games have to be ruined by the teaming survivor. <For killer it is literally almost impossible to punish teaming because they could have just lost the survivor, or doing an archive, or challenge etc.> Much easier to notice teaming survivors.
