Why are some in the community like this?

I mainly play the survivor side and recently decided to play some killer for a change and I swear survivors make no sense when they make up their own rules. Like recently, I found some users online asking why killers sweat (when they don't) during events and if they can stop and if they can just have fun with it, which I can agree with somewhat, but I feel like players shouldn't ask for one side to stop doing something such as sweating if they're gonna sweat themselves. I get not everyone is like this but me playing killer for like an hour and having 2/3 sweaty survivors in my games is crazy especially during the Haunted By Daylight event. Like I'm just trying to play chill and learn the Lich which I just got

    Plenty of connected reasons.

Bad matchmaking, frustrating experiences in both directions for both sides, people being just toxic in general especially with the anonymity brought by online gaming, amplified on survivor side by the fact there is multiple against one, etc

Because if we wait for BHVR to address the "Survivor sucks" issue, the game will die from frustrated players quitting. The assumption is that someone playing Killer cares more about the survival of the game than the devs seem to, and they will be somewhat sympathetic.

That might be a bad assumption, but do you want them to play a different game??

The best advice I can give to anyone, especially someone looking to dabble in playing killer, is to make your account fully anonymous and turn off chat. Don't accept friend invites. Keep your interactions with other players to a healthy minimum.

I say this because, and I've been in a lot of other fandoms, DBD has one of the most toxic, bizarre, unfriendly fandoms you'll ever encounter. Yes, there are some good, nice people, but there are a lot of weirdos and immature, actual children as well. Personally, I'm not gonna spend my time arguing with trolls and people who are literally 12. It's a waste of time to try and make sense out of what some people complain about. Because you can't make the illogical into something logical. And I don't blame the devs. It's the people who play the game who perpetuate the chaos.

It's funny isn't it? A lot of the complains you get as killer don't make sense at all, best excampel are people with boilover at the top of ironworks of misery:

I've had multiple people insulting me because I bled them out in this situation because they were crawling as far in the corner as possible xD

Well it's not like those complains mean anything in the end. I understand it if I actually did something that wasn't nice, but most of the time it's because of much smaller things like the killer you play or if you play chill or not.

The best thing you can do is ignoring them or being like me and just collect complains with fun, I'm thinking about them as some sort of cards: sometimes I get a really rare one, sometimes just normal ones xD

There's always next game. No need worrying about it too much 👍. This coming from someone (that's myself) that is horrible at killer and more of a distraction mechanism for the survivors to occupy the killer lol.
