Do we have enough killers?
I had recent discussion about roadmaps but what found interesting is alot of people fine with no more killers added. Got me thinking do we have enough killers. We got 11 original killers and 4 licensed killers. 4th licensed killer might also be the 5th with the evil dead chapter coming up soon.
Do you think we got enough killers?
Does working on current killers sound appealing?

And about clowns, Yeah I've not played against one since maybe the Hallowed Blight event. And I think around then was the last time I played as him.

im fine with devs adding good and strong killers to the game. I don’t want more Freddies and legions (I love legion and playing as him but he needs some buffs honestly) I feel once the devs have reach over like 20-25 killers/survivors I feel like that would be good time to stop. I main spirit and she’s in a really good spot rn.

Maybe because people can *almost* outrun his bottles.
And they're not too good when they do hit, either.

how can u outrun his bottles. he can aim and throw it anywhere. plus his toxins do a lot since u cant fast vault and u run slow. on top of that hes so fast. hes a tier 1 killer.

r u saying hes not a good killer??? how can u outrun his bottles. he can aim and throw it anywhere. he can block off paths. plus his toxins can do a lot since u cant fast vault and u run slow. on top of that he's so fast. hes a tier 1 killer.

I think so, what we really need is a huge QOL/fix/optimisation/rework update before a new chapter imo...but that's not gonna happen i think...

alright. well im definetly not gud but in my opinion the clown seems way worse than the spirit to me. especially since the spirits lunge is terrible.

If every killer was competitively viable (tournament level play), then I would say yes, we have enough. Since that isn't the case, I'll have to say no. If you have 15 killers but only see 3, do you really have 15 killers? :' (

Kind of. Yes you can aim and throw wherever you want, but it takes ages to do so, you slow down while doing it, and flying bottles are too slow to be thrown far away and NOT be dodged entirely, meaning survivors just turn somewhere else. Most of the time you're only left with the option of throwing them at survivors' feet to land a hit. But you might as well just hit them normally if you're that close to them.
The only real advantage that Clown had at the beginning was shutting down loops in those dreadful T-wall L-wall combinations, but as far as I know (and the reason I quit playing him), this was changed and survivors didn't see their vaulting speed affected anymore.
Forgive me if I'm wrong about this last thing, but I haven't played him since. Was it reverted? Intoxication affects vaulting speed today?

I like variety. Unfortunately, due to how weak a lot of Killers are, there isn't much variety when I play Survivor. There is when I play Killer, but otherwise, we need more that can be viable.

I think we have a good selection of killers for those who want to go different play styles. However, as mentioned before, many killers just need to be reworked to be more viable as you climb the ranks.
It gets tiring for survivors to see billy and nurse around every corner at the high ranks. I am not saying make every single killer that level, as a god tier nurse will demolish any SWF group, but just bring some up to par.
As for my killer, no, granny Hag is just fine. Her lunge is wonky in terms of animation, but her overall functionality is great.

Seeing this and attitudes above thinking reworks is kinda the popular thought. I dunno maybe we need some reworks instead of killers. It definately wouldn't have community kicking and screaming really.
My favourite spirit is also fine, other killers deserve to be good like her. Plus they deserve to get that fun rework hag got. She just needed that speed but not sometimes the solution to all killers.

The game would be in a healthier state overall if all killers were as viable as a Spirit or Hillbilly. Nurse is of course in her own category but there's a lot of killers who need help.
The developers' design philosophy of "fun to play but not necessarily viable", which gave us fan favorites like Legion, isn't healthy for a game that's portraying itself as competitive.

If you put a good person on a wraith and a good person on the nurse against a competent survivor group, I can almost guarantee different results.
Not discounting your comment, as yes skill truly does matter, but some killers just have a greater advantage and ability to counter survivor antics.

I think at a certain point they should not stop (because DLCs keep players engaged) but at least slow down a bit and work more on the core of the game, since new killers suck a lot of resources.

This is a very true statement. This game has bugs abound, a ranking system that nobody really cares about, a bad match making system, graphical glitches, bugged lobbies, and the list goes on and on.
If they took some time to iron out some of these flaws, I feel the experience would be better for everybody involved.

The problem isn't that we need more killers or that we have enough, we simply need more VIABLE rank 1 killers. Too many weak killers with more weak killers being added. A lot of killers just need some bump ups so we can see more variety being played.

I think we need a big break from adding in new Chapters. I feel atm we have enough to last us for a decent enough time. Longer than a few months as I really wish they'd focus 100% on tweaking and fixing the game, instead of packaging fixes with Chapters

That's never going to happen though. DLC's are big chunk of revenue for them. Which is why they need to release killers in a stronger state so that we don't have to keep going back later. Yet...here we are..still making the same mistakes.

I would really like a rework to some of the Killers who are low on tier lists. Freddy goes without saying but Leatherface, Trapper, Pig, and Clown could all use a lot of tweaking in my mind. (Note I'm not saying that all these Killers are bottom tier as I think Pig and Clown are strong but also finnicky and rather buggy.)
Freddy and Leatherface I don't know. Trapper I made a thread awhile ago.

We need all the killer's to be strong. Not Nurse tier obviously, but the Trapper, the posterboy of the game is a low tier killer.

When its original killers want them to have fun flavor to them.
When its licensed killers just want it to be immersive. Since these are horror icons being put out there. I think pig has the best thing going for her being able to play like her character. You can ambush like the pigs in the movie and she has a way to cheat the traps. Though if people think she needs balance fine with that as long as doesn't mess with her personality. The one unimmersive thing though is she wouldn't leave a working key in boxes. She would also trap the hatch to go off also not just one exit gate but all of them.

Again with the "only 2 killers exist" statement. It's not true.
There are many killers present in Rank 1, a lot of people make "weak" killers work. I rarely see a Nurse at Rank 1 nowadays. It's mostly Billy, Huntress, Spirit, Hag, Myers, Clown and sometimes Pig.
I myself play Huntress or Myers.

Thats probally playing with people like me who play all killers equally. But i don't understand weakness as much as i understand what killers aren't fun. Some original killers aren't fun cause new killers showcase this alot in new chapters. Licensed killers can also not be fun when not immersive. Freddy is 0% immersive and pig is 100% immersive killers. Rest of licensed killers are 50% immersive and could be fix by adding that 2nd power they have at disposal. I think people just want everyone to be mid tier and up. Alot of killers don't have that wieght people want out of there favourite killer.

@Condorloco_26 Throwing bottles doesn't slow down the Clown at all. I play him quite often. Exhaustion bottles with the extra hindered effect and you have excellent chase potential. Clowns only problem is he has no map pressure.

1) I think we need new killers, if the devs understand what makes a killer strong or weak they can start making great and balanced killers.
2) Of course some killers need some work done for them, but they shouldn't stop making new ones.
3) My favourite killer is Wraith. I love my Bing Bong boy.
4) I think he's fine, I almost always get 4k with him. But I do think his base kit can be weak, I am good with him but without add-ons it can be pretty difficult. I think that they should buff him a bit more to make him more appealing to newer players, I personally like him as he is.

Yeah they shouldn't stop killers but wouldn't mind less in favour of more dynamic reworks like freddy is getting.
I think when spirit came out felt it underwhelmed his power in fun factor. Wraith is awesome and had best hallowed blight cosmetic hands down. I just wish his invisibility could do something more out there. Think his speedy invisibility makes him better killer but wan't something more from him. Don't know if makes me selfish wanting wraith 2.0
I feel alot of killers have killer 1.0 vibe to them while others have a 2.0 vibe to them.

Her lunge is the same as all killers. It was bad in her PTB but was fixed.
In fact she might have the best lunge due to her reappearance speed boost after phasing.

i don't like to main killers but spirit lunge feels so good. I often love picking her cause her lunge feels the smoothest. Specially with reappearance lunge it can give you that kick you need.

One killer that REALLY needs a buff/slight rework is the Trapper, he was good when the game first launched, now he's almost useless against good survivors.
Even tho I love him, Wraith can wait.

he got a speed buff to traps which helped hag but didn't do much to him. I think they should just let him trap more things so his name has meaning. They might as well call him just ground trapper

You think people wouldn't come around for other experiences rather then a new chapter?
Been 4 years of just chapters and copy/paste events. Feel like that can wear down on most of players.

Dev's hate the hindered status. But his power is still strong. it's kinda like nurse, you have to learn how far to charge your bottles to get them in front of people. You also need to be very aware of the direction the loops have to be run to be effective, so you can gas the long side.
Clown takes a fair amount of game knowledge and skill to actually use. But his power isn't flashy like other killers that take a fair amount of training. Ie: Nurse with her neat blinks, Billy with his one hitting chainsaw, spirit and her mind games. That's why no one plays him except his fans.
