3 generators No more need for anti-compaction system

Time has passed since Skull Merchant's boring and harmful tactics took hold, and she no longer has the power to do so. To be honest, the current system is more of a hindrance to killer play options than a way to counter nasty tactics.

Some perks unintentionally trigger the generator lock-up countermeasure system, and there are many matches where the number of times you can kick a generator is simply limited for no reason, which is frustrating. I would like the generators to be reverted to their previous state.

Aside from Eruption and Surge getting screwed over with the new 3-gen limit, I think it's good we have it, especially on maps like Forgotten Ruins where you can set up a 3-gen easily.

It's not a temporary bandaid fix for one killer.

It's a permanent insurance policy against it happening for any killer present or future.

The gen damage limit was introduced long after skull merchants rework. It had nothing to do with her

No cause all killers still try to be mini skull merchants and try to still force 3 gens with the now mini pancake maps. Had a 30 mins match with a pyramid head doing that on eyrie of crows, you think the man come chase me having OOO but no he would fake chase the go back and kick least I double pipped for it.

I can't even imagine how a match can last 30 minutes given that the killer can hit generator only 8 times

Cause it was a 3 gen done by lame rng and not the fault of ours, so he kept going back and forth to all 3, hit someone then rinse and repeat with brine, over charge and oppression, ty god it was rare that these teammates was making sure to reset each other and I had sable heal perk.

Ofc its gonna take 30mins because we was smart not to get down and slowly work on each gen😒.8x3=24 kicks.

No, 3 Gen'ing is already bad when it happens, no need to make Killers able to do it forever again.

I've always found the sort of historical revisionism surrounding 3-gens to be kind of interesting, because I don't think people are even doing it on purpose, I think Skull Merchant just caused enough of a problem that everyone forgot.

The truth of the matter is that 3-genning existed long before Skull Merchant, and we even had periods of the game where it was almost as bad as she was, so she wasn't even the worst offender by that large of a margin. Having a permanent mechanic to ensure it can't happen again is a good thing, because it has happened multiple times in the past. Nothing is stopping the other killers that are good at patrolling tight clusters of gens from trying to stall the match if we only play whack-a-mole with whatever's causing the biggest problem at that moment.

The current system is fine. I'd like to see the perk Eruption adjusted to accommodate it, but that's really the only problem.

its just a free win condition for survivors even though survivors doing easy gens first cause more 3 gens than killers ever did

Nope its the maps being the sizes of a dunkin donut is the problem because I load in as killer or survivor and a 3 gen aleady spawn heck even 2x 3 gens can happen so no matter how you plan it can be tough to impossible to break it specially vs certain killers like spamminglarity can easily just abuse that advantage and the match can already be decided.

Conspicious action is a free win for killer, cant use ds when last gen pops which smart people would save at end for attempted tunneling. Otr and anti face camp also not working too.

Skull Merchant honestly wasn't even the strongest 3 genner. She was just more prominent during the 3 gen meta, because her original kit didn't leave much play outside of 3 genning.

so we have 1 killer and 4 survivors, I’m wondering how physically the pyramid head couldn’t let you make generators if the killer goes after 1 survivor, others are just repairing the others generators

The system itself is, while killing off a few perks and making Killers on the weaker end of the spectrum more stressful to play, not a bad idea per-say, no one wants to spend 30+ minutes in a stalemate.

However it is in effect the whole game which means it's easy to make it backfire unintentionally, a SWF can even weaponize it against certain Killers.

I think it should only kick-in when there is 2 gens left (to account for nonsensical map rng that can create ridiculous 4-gen setups on certain maps) so that the "Anti-3-gen" system is ACTUALLY and Anti-3-gen system and not just an Anti-regression system.

    Knight, Wesker, Nurse, Blight etc?

Basically any killer with good setup.

but I would definetly reduce the effectivness of 3-gen feature. Just make it work only for actual kicks, you can't really stall the game that long without kicking gens.

Buddy if you dont know what fake chasing is or hit and drop chase right away and people needed to reset to not be down, has brine, overcharge and oppression I do not know what else to tell you.

I think you qouted the wrong statement instead of the first one I said. Yes killers can prolong the game just like the 2 last survivors hiding shocking I know.

Leave it as is. Even with the regression event limit, a 3-gen scenario is still a very bad spot for Survivors to get stuck in. All it's supposed to do is ensure that the match ends sooner rather than later.

Anti-3-Gen has little to do with the state of Dullmerchant. Its still an issue of (really) bad gen placement. I just played Had-No-Fun-Field and even after two gens in sight of dejavu were completed there were still 3 gens so damn near to each other it was completely nuts (but hey, whoevers idea it was to shrink haddonfield down to a bathroom size). As long as devs ignore gen placement, this bad-aid-fix needs to stay.
