More "celebrities" in DBD? (example: Nicki Minaj)
I am watching DBD on Twitch for Fright Fest to earn the drops, even though I am not actually going to use them. While watching, it made me think about how Call of Duty got a license to Nicki Minaj for a skin. If Nicki was cool with her likeness being shot at in Call of Duty, it makes me wonder who else out there would enter the fog.
Should more "celebrities" be added to DBD like Nicholas Cage?

No.

Depends, celebrities like "Nicki Minaj" no, but if they wanna add Elvira then sure because that makes sense

As someone else has said, only celebrities that are in some way related to horror should be included.
5 -
Hopefully not. That we have Nicolas Cage is already a Joke.
6 -
Please no. Nic Cage is ok because he's an icon but if they started adding just random celebrities the game would look so stupid
6 -
If your adding celebrities do a WWE colab with Undertaker, Kane, Mankind & The Fiend

It wouldn't bother me to much, as Collabs with likeness of the actor intact already do that kinda. I mean i can't look at Detective Tapp without thinking Danny Glover.
They should be related to horror in some form and try to integrate them in DBD though, random celebrities really break the immersion to much especially if their lore is as short as some other licensed ones like Pinhead. Nic Cage works because both are fulfilled.

THIS! OMG, Nick Cage was such a fun and good idea, but for the love of God, NO Nicki Minaj! Let all this COD devs sell their souls, but DBD already has enough cute and goofy outfits, that still somewhat have their place in horror cinema culture, but someone like Nicki Minaj definitely doesn't. And also no Paris Hilton, just because she played in one horror movie.
Elvira or Ozzi Osborn would be cool (imagine Ozzi running away from the killer while shouting obscenities). Also Alice Cooper, Guillermo del Toro, Tim Burton or even Danny Trejo or Kaenu Reeves could work to an extend … but don't water the roster needlessly down with some celebreties, just to include something new.
Nick Cage himself is no bastion of horror or gore, but he still fits somehow extremely well while also staying in character. And this are the qualities we need for our survivor celebrities.

no offence but the day someone like Nicky Minaj ever enters DBD will be the death of the game truly.

If any other celebrities are added they need to be horror icons. I'd love to see Vincent Price but we all know how that would work out.

horror icons only plss

I don't think Nicki needs to be near this game ever. Now, I could see an artist like Rob Zombie because he is big into horror and has experience directing horror films and is responsible for producing a few cult classics.

No, thanks.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Real people fundamentally DO NOT belong in a game where the goal is to murder those people in horrific, brutal ways. It just doesn't sit well with me.
I'm not exactly opposed to seeing original characters that share the likeness of celebrities, as those would be in the realm of "not real enough", but I would rather even that sticking to those in the horror business. I think that the Nick Cage chapter could have been one of the best mid-chapters the game had, if it was Nick Cage's likeness on an unrelated, original actor Survivor instead of Nick Cage as Nick Cage.
But then I guess that would lose the "appeal", wouldn't it.

Cage is enough celebrity stardom.
2 -
Blight will take out Mankind the way Undertaker threw him off the Hell in a Cell.

no please. CoD was turned into a second hand embarrassment of a game with that "celebrity licence" stuff, Fortnite was all along embarrassing with it.
Imho focusing games on constant licenced characters releasing is what killed spirit of most games and turned them into nothing but commercial husk of what those games have been.

Sure, I'd love to tunnel Nicki Manajs every time I see one. 😉
2 -
No.
…Unless we're talking about Elvira, she should join.

I'm fine when these celebrities have very big specific horror connections, but start adding random people who are just here because they're popular, and honestly the Licenced Cast is going to feel extremely watered down.

love nicki but no, we're not fortnite or cod
3 -
Hell no
Aside from the fact I personally find her/her music extremely irritating - What's the connection or appeal to DBD?
1 -
I'd personally not start adding celebrities into the game.
Nick Cage is an exception here, he's already in game, but I think we don't need more chapters like this.

On the survivor side, I'm kind of cool with anyone. I don't think they need to be a celebrity, but outside a child I don't really have a problem with the idea of anyone ending up in the entities realm. I think it actually adds to the idea that anyone could be a survivor (i.e. in a horror movie).
That is something that never crossed my mind and a neat idea.
The Fiend is one of the few I could have actually seen as a killer character. With the passing of Bray Wyatt (William Rotunda), I can't see it happening though.

Oh heelll no

I wouldn't want it too much. Nicholas Cage worked because he has acting in some great horrors, and his character and perks were a lot of fun. He was a rarity, who could fit in without being a character.
If other celebrities were to come in, they'd need to be closely linked to some form of horror. Examples would be:
Elvira; Robert Englund (if we can't get him for Freddy, at least induct him in as a Survivor).
Then again, they may prove me wrong with a good link. Really, anyone could join (although many would be probably terrible additions)

Horror related Celebs. Not random pop artists or stuff.
Elvira, Lordi(the band), Kane Hodder, Dan Akryod, etc.

And Ozzi Osborn and Alice Cooper, please.

I would only be OK with horror related celebs not random ones like Nicki Minaj. There's alot of horror celebs they could work with: Elvira, Tom Savini, Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley, Robert Englund, John Carpenter, Tony Todd, Danielle Harris, Jamie Lee Curtis, Stephen King, Alice Cooper, etc. People that have been very involved with horror and are still alive so they can decide if they do/don't want to be in a video game.

I hope not
Nic Cage was a nice novelty for the time, but what happens if a celebrity is feature in the game but they get cancelled for a serious reason? I would wish them to be removed from the game and have my money back0 -
I believe they can do that collab still. It’s tragic he passed but they will still use characters that passed like Macho Man or British Bulldog.
Plus they recently added a new fiend skin to the WWE game. I think WWE horror characters would be a excellent collab0 -
imagine her injured voice clips including her signature 'rrrrwwww' or she going 'young money!' randomly in the lobby 😂

but it would make no sense to have her, a celebrity that is not related to horror at all, in a horror themed game.
