Eventually DBD will die out.
Dead by Daylight is currently facing a critical dilemma regarding player behavior and game dynamics. The prevalence of slugging, camping, and tunneling by killers significantly impacts the overall experience for survivors, often leading to a cycle of frustration that results in players disconnecting, going AFK, or succumbing on their first hook. This situation can have two potential outcomes: either killers grow disenchanted due to a lack of engaging gameplay, or survivors become so frustrated that they opt to leave for other games.
While there are perks designed to mitigate tactics like slugging and tunneling, not every survivor has the capacity or desire to utilize these options effectively. This creates a challenging environment, particularly in Solo Queue, where the gameplay experience can become unbearable, especially for new players. Coupled with numerous bugs that disrupt gameplay, the overall experience can be jarring and detract from the enjoyment of the game.
From my perspective as both a survivor and a killer player, the disparity in experience is not because of the base kits or perks of each role. Instead, the core issue lies in player behavior.
I don't really know what DBD can do to actually influence the game positively, as severe punishment for dcing/dying on first hook will just turn survivors completely off to playing and punishing killers for slugging, ect. will just turn Killer off to playing.
All around, the game will die out because of this. Maybe not in a year, two years, but eventually.
My suggestion would be - BHVR needs to focus more on actually improving bugs and glitches to extend the duration of the games life as much as possible rather than slapping more problems on top with the broken perks of new killers/survivors. We have a large enough roster, if you want a killer that just fits in the general class of other killers - "ranged", "can teleport", "run fast" — give old killers a skin that looks like a new killer alternatively with new sounds and a visual appearance.

yes because the game died when almost every loop was a infinite,
or it died when bugs were practically expected every game
Or the game died when insta-flashing was a thing
or the game died when queues were insane
or it died when everyone had free dsor it died when dcs didnt make bots
or it died when 3-genning was at its prime
The game isnt balanced, it never will be, theres not really a way to balance a game where the win condition and people on each team are different, if your killer and notice survivors falling behind, be a little lenient. And if your survivor noticing killer falling behind, be more interactive instead of on gens
Personally, i think the only thing the game needs is empathy more than anything else
No reasoning on playing purely to win if the game you played itself is horrid

True on all accounts. Which makes it all the more hilarious for me when I see players taking DBD seriously or as a e-sports/competitive game.
Like dude, this is a cat & mouse party "horror" game. More akin to Mario party then counter-strike by a huge huge huge margin.1
