Sounds muffled for most of the match

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:

Loaded into the game and started working on a generator. Immediately I noticed the sound was very muffled. The only sounds I heard correctly were skill checks and chase music. Everything else was muffled, including survivor heals/screams/hurt noises/running/footsteps/getting hooked, terror radius, vaults, pallets, generators. This lasted up until there was 1 generator left. I don't recall anything different happening when it returned to normal. Happened during Haunted by Daylight event.

Map: Autohaven Wreckes - Wreckers' Yard

Tome challenge active: Tome 12 - Botanist's Blessing. Someone else was also doing a Bountiful Harvest challenge from Tome 5

PLATFORM: PC (steam)

    This has been happening to me as any killer on Ormond exclusively.

    You can fix this bug by using a void crystal. Still rather annoying.

    This happens when you use a Void Crystal and then end the match in some way (e.g. escaping). You will have this sound effect until you use another Void Crystal.

    I just had this same problem in Backwater Swamp.

    Haven't had it in another match.

    I just did the void crystal hack and it worked, which marks the first realistic thing DBD has ever added to the game.
