A new mechanic that would fix the slugging issue

I thought of a solution that could make killers scared of slugging, just like the anti camping system.

The anti-camping system is flawed, but the fact it’s in the game has prevented killers face camping. So no matter what mechanic behaviour adds, having one in the game would reduce the amount of slugging that happens

I propose that there would be a second recovery bar that you would fill after you can’t recover by yourself anymore. The bar would fill up fully in less time then the base recovery speed (maybe 30 seconds) and you would get up with speed and endurance like you got off a hook.

They would have to rework some perks, but I think this is a simple and effective way to slow down how much slugging happens in the game.


also, as a bonus, there should be a certain amount of time where you can leave without a penalty if you’re on the ground for too long. So if you want to stay, you can recover for 30 more seconds and get back up, or you can leave if the slugging is boring with no chance of coming back

    "Killers should be scared to play the game." Sorry, but that won't go over well.

    If a killer constantly has to second guess everything they do because some kind of base kit mechanic will punish them for it, that ultimately leads to people not playing killer anymore. Think about it. We have something for 3gens and camping, we are discussing a solution for slugging and tunneling is discussed about just as much.

    If you are forced to play nice, survivors can and will abuse it because it grants them an advantage.

    We should have a mechanic for survivors to play nice where the first 3 gens can’t be progresses past 99% until another 2 different gens are repaired to 99%
