Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Sometimes sound effect have lower volume, like you are underwater

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Sometimes after logging into a game, all the sound effects (i think a repaired gen is one of the sounds not affected by the issue) of all sudden start being heard at a much lower volume, literally like if you were playing underwater, a bit distorted. I though it was a "me" thing but it also did happen to another friend when playing with her. Once it happens after logging into a game (not sure if they start just after starting the match or if there is some trigger inside it) it stays like that through all the match.

PLATFORM: PC

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: No steps required. Just logged into a game. It has happened sometimes, like 1 of 20 matches, not sure what triggers it.

VIDEO: Wasnt recording the game.

Update: It seems to be something void-related. I think it did happen on my next game too, i entered the void, left it and it got fixed. Its like the "void" sound effects and environment are applied outside of the void, hindering the audio.

I was about to report the same thing. I think it's since the 8.3.2 patch for me, and it doesn't matter which side I played. Sometimes breaks randomly mid-game or it's since beginning. It's like an underwater sound, like you said, or permanent Disfigured Ear (I mean add-on effect).

But I don't have that luck entering and leaving the Void will fix this for me, it disappears randomly or in the next game.
