Call of Brine + Overcharge should be buffed to what they were

These perks were buffed a while back to a point they actually became meta with the regression it applied, however now, as seen in this video I will link below, the regression applied is no insignificant that it's practically like tickling the gen with a feather.

The reason these perks were nerfed to what they are now, is not because they were too strong as they were, but because this was BEFORE the anti 3 gen nerf became a thing.

And these perks were HEAVILY used for 3 genning.

Now that the playstyle is gone, if killers even try to use the perks (If they were to get reverted) where they kick the gen and leave to kick another, they would rack up the 8 kicks incredibly fast to the point where they couldn't kick it anymore. Hence no longer being problematic.

If it is a huge concern however, my suggestion would be to make it so they don't stack together like before so only 200% at a time instead of the previously possible 400%. Either way, if the killer tries to 3 gen, it wont work because kicking the gen will have it's limits pretty quickly,

Im not against the idea, though even with 8 kicks max we'll likely still see stacked gen slowdown builds every game again.

Call of brine, ruin and overcharge could be buffed to 150%, but definitely not 200%.

Overcharge can be left as it is, but Call of Brine needs a buff.

you can kick generator only 8 times and 200% is still 2 times worse than the base progression of 1 survivor and 8 times worse than the progression of 4 survivors

as much as i would love to see those perks buffed back up it just a bandaid of the base game regression/progression instead of keeping the band aid or buffing the band aid the devs should really look at the base game.

For example since the devs dont want the game to take so long ( 8 regression events) then i think its only fair to look into making sure the game doesnt end to quickily like Base Corrupt and Dead lock then changing the perks to add an extra gen to the base so 5 gens blocked with corrupt and 2 for dead lock in this sceanrio.

This will deal with one of the biggest issues in the game gen effiency which is now going out of control with the hard nerfs to regressions this will be a postive healthy step forward for the game

Progression and regression aren't supposed to be 1 to 1.

+100% regression is +100% regression, just like +50% heal speed is +50% heal speed. The game's perfectly fine with regression speed as it is, so getting double the normal is still huge.

Absolutely not. That was one of the worst metas the game has ever had and the possibility of it coming back should not even be considered, even with the gen kick limits it would still be very unhealthy imo.

Strong regression perks should never be freely available without needing to down or hook a survivor. CoB and Overcharge don't have any prerequisite other than needing to kick the gen and thus their regression is rightfully weaker compared to other perks.

These perks shouldn't be touched for a good long while. Killers are still in the mindset of being completely obsessed with regression and this would only encourage that again.

Besides, there's absolutely a possibility of these perks being used again to 3 gen, even with the 8 kick limit. With the "anti gen tap" feature, killers could (and certainly would) just prevent regression from stopping by forcing survivors off the gens if these perks were buffed to be too strong again. It doesn't matter if it's one regression event if you can keep the regression going indefinitely.

And in shoebox sized maps it only makes patrolling the gens that much easier now.

Fyi a full effect CoB regresses less than 4 seconds off of a gen, literally the deffinition of useless.

We do, and they still lose to good survivors. Just because 10 noob teams lose to those builds doesn't mean it's a good build.

because base values of regression are terrible. buffing something that is already terrible has no purpose.

All the Gen perks can use a buff with the Anti 3gen and 8 regression limit changes

Or you can swap to the better performing 2 aura 2 gen regression build that are happening now distortion is nerfed.

Overcharge doesn't need a buff again, the skill check is the main purpose of it, and it already has its niche in skillcheck builds. Call of Brine could definitely use a buff considering how sad it is, but I'd rather not bring back gen kick meta even with the regression event limit. Seems easily exploitable now that you need to repair 5% to stop the regression and maps are shrinking in size.

Maybe not a full reversion, but at least CoB should be buffed imo. I think I'd actually prefer it if they made each perk stack but kept the numbers smaller than previous iterations.

Both of these perks are worthless. OC is quite literally worse than nothing when survivors hit the skill check, which many do, and CoB is a better info perk than a slowdown perk. Not that the info perk is any good.

They definitely do need some changes. Either buffs or reworks.

If anything, Brine should be reworked. Or just get rid of the regression aspect altogether and buff the info. Although that might be difficult to do without stepping on Surveillance's toes too much, idk.

But I don't think Brine's regression in its current state can be given a meaningful buff without becoming obnoxious again.

Only if they nerf Pain Resonance

id rather not, these perks are very conceptually flawed. they should get rework instead.

3 genning is still a powerful strategy and i would rather not have it buffed any more.
