I'm mad guys. Really really mad. Its getting annoying, day after day. This one is peak! Most of the times I get Killers with 200-300ms and just sometimes when I'm getting lucky, I get a normal ping Killer. 50ms around. Which still is to high with my 17-20ms Matches.
Why is this allowed at all??? There should be a Ping Checker and whenever ANYONE tries to queue, the Game checks for Ping and if its higher than 150ms, they shouldnt be allowed to start a freaking Game. This is just discusting and no more fun. But we all know BHVR, they aint doing anything against it.

How can you even be mad at that bro. Youre one of the only people on Earth who had contact with a martian. Honestly, Im kinda jealous.
But yeah no reason why some ones ping can go that high lol thats ridiculous. Something needs to be in place to prevent not only this, but cheating as well.

I had a Felix once whose ping skyrocketed to 10 thousand once.
Somehow, defying all understanding, he actually did not dc, and played out the match. Of course, he didn't last long, but somewhere I have to respect the hustle.

I am so glad there are games that allow you to set internet connection requirements like tekken/final fantasy dissidia nt because I just cant tolerate super market/fast food restaurant connections.

I agree; the game should not allow you to que if your ping is too high.
When I see players with high ping, sometimes I wonder if they’re playing on Xcloud via a tablet or cell phone. It’s almost impossible to hit great skill checks on that connection. I never thought to look at my ping, the two times I tried it.

I'm happy for you that you live in the server room and have that low ping but some of us don't live next to the servers or even in the same country. My ping is normally 40-50 thats the best i can do pinging to german servers. Nowdays i do VPN to UK servers due to the games being less toxic there so my ping is around 60 to 70, and i will continue VPNing to UK until more servers are made for certain people…sorry not sorry.
This all being said 1000 ping is unplayable probably for the killer too, but yeah when killers are on high ping i usually don't even bother since you get hit from 300 meters away.

This was a long time ago, I only remember that it was a Felix, that it was on Ormond, and that I was the killer. I don't really recall what prompted me to check his ping either, I just remember being utterly bewildered by a ping so high I didn't think it possible.

Why should someone be punished for not having the greatest internet. Your point of 150 being to high and that the game shouldn't even let them play is disgusting. I understand being frustrated about a high ping player, but you have to understand that not everyone can get the greatest internet or live close to a server. I'm happy you have great ping. Just don't get mad when you see the average ping range of 50-150.

Because this is an online game and having a decent internet connection is a prerequisite to playing.

some times it’s not the killer’s fault.. they might just not have servers in their country.. I’m from Saudi arabia and my internet is amazing and get a consistent 20-50 ping in most games.. but when i play dbd its always 100-130

Not everyone lives in the same country where the servers are. I live in Nordic country in Europe and i will get 40 ping when i connect to german servers. I have good internet but that's the lowest it goes because of the distance. Maybe on good days it can be 35 ish
What DBD needs is to add more servers since many people have high pings due to bad server placements. In europe eastern part people quite often have red ping.

Noone has a problem with you playing at 40 ping. That's perfectly reasonable. The problem is killers with ping in the hundreds or thousands like OP showed in the image.

People with 1000+ pings can't even play the game. Most of the times they are just teleporting and lagging all over the place. Issue is people with 100+ ping. They can still play the game and get hits that look extremely weird due to the ping, and that might just be server placement issue.

I hopped in a locker once at 11,000 ping and I got permanently trapped in a locker. Not even being grabbed and hooked could get me out of the locker lmao

It's very frustrating that the devs refuse to implement any ping limits in lobbies. The only possible reason I can think of to not have a ping limit is to not exclude people who have bad internet or are playing in a country without a local server. I get it - you want to be as inclusive as possible - but at the same time it's not fair to ruin other people's games for the sake of inclusiveness.

I'm already annoyed with pings above 90ms.
More than 150ms should be forbidden or matched with other insanely high pings.

I’d say a ping limit should be set at 200 or higher. That way it tries to make it as inclusive as possible for people in other countries, without allowing people to A. Take advantage of VPNs and 3rd party stuff and B. Ruining the game for others with unfair advantages. Though that would mostly be on the killer side since high ping benefits killers more than survivors.
Other live server games do this, so I don’t see why BHVR shouldn’t.

So they should not be allowed to play the game? They paid for the game too. I would say most people who have a high ping can't really do much about it. Most of those people also are not trying to use their ping maliciously.
Sometimes the game just randomly has a lag spike as well. I've seen myself and others playing at 70 then it just randomly spikes to 400-1000 and fall back shortly after. Do you think that those people should get disconnected when that happens.
