Please set up a sub-forum for complaints
The general forum is terrible. I feel like 90% of all posts are complaints about this and that. I've already caught myself doing it! It's become unbearable. It doesn't change anything anyway. The mods read it and put a check mark on it. That's it. But it doesn't change the game, no matter how many times you complain.

Just ignore them.

But what would be left of this forums, if we had nothing to complain about?
Its the same with German culture, really: you can roll your eyes at being grumpy and always complaining, but if you would take that away, my people would be without a soul.

i agree that there needs to be some regulation in the forums. i feel less and less comfortable interacting with the community on here because there's barely any room other for discussions other than someone being displeased with an in-game interaction, derailing balancing conversations, or ragebait.
additionally, this type of culture seems to be harming the community overall and placing an impression on people that the only way they'll be heard is by being the same way, and it has become very disappointing to log into the forums and constantly seeing that sort of thing every day.a post that garners negativity receives more attention than a post that attempts to start a positive or informative conversation actively. i've tested this with my own positive threads. to me, it feels like there's no enjoyment with talking to others anymore. it's whoever screams the loudest to be heard.
i understand that people are disgruntled with the condition of the game, but turning this into an entire platform dedicated to that may as well solidify all the negative aspects of the game since that's all people can ever focus on nowadays. the forums have merely become a place for people to vent their emotions and form a chain of agreement, not to interact with others and be social.1 -
German people would be still known for their humor.

That is called "Feedback and Suggestions", where mods move posts when they want those posts to die lmao

Complaints definitely change the game. See Made for This, see Distortion, see the recent Decisive Strike buff/nerf, see… etc.

I think its because many people here literally just post between matches during the loading every time they lose, leading them to think about the posts they will make instead of their own mistakes and improving, a loop designed for themselves so they don't have to admit to skill issues.
People who do that really should consider leaving so they can start getting themselves together before the inevitable ban which often will lead to an better outcome and better self, and im not even ironic about it. Its the cost sunk fallacy. Think about this:
Asmongold got banned and finally cleaned like 15% of his house.
I got fired after telling the CEO of the company i worked for that he is about to get thrown out of the 4th story window, and i ended up with a much better job and pay somewhere else.

There was a post called "DBD - A Halloween Story" or something like that recently, where someone shared a heart-warming tale of a Meg that showed the killer the meaning of friendship... or something like that. But no joke, do a search for it if you want to read something cute :)

This forum is one of the most miserable places I've ever seen, that's for certain. You can't talk about anything without someone chiming in with a hundred and one reasons why they're unhappy with the game, for the hundredth time in a row, in the hundredth thread in a row.

I disagree with this one, my friend, I like it here.

DS and Distortion were definitely done dirty, but "Paid for This" needed changing

Hahaha, that was good.
"No fun allowed".

the problem is that from a survivor perspective the game is unplayable. That needs to be addressed here in the general discussion forum. I have already posted several posts how to balance the game, but bhvr continues to make the game easier and easier for killers.

I think it's good to allow complaints here. It would be pretty boring otherwise. I really don't have any interest in the "here's my tierlist" or "what's your favorite Sable outfit" type of posts. I'm much more interested in the balance discussions and suggestions for improvements/change to the game, the types of posts which would probably fall within the "complaints" category.
The real problem IMO is the "us vs them" toxicity that comes from posters/commenters who only play one side of the game. They'll accuse the other side of playing in unfun ways, troll the other side by claiming it's way too easy for that side to win (even though they've never played that side themselves), and generally blame the other side for the game's problems. If everyone actually played both sides, this forum would be a FAR less toxic place.

Either way complaints changed those perks. I don’t think without complaints any of them would have been on BHVR’s radar. But of course BHVR doesn’t always react to complaints. Camping, tunneling, and slugging are still things people massively complain about.

Well, that's where the conversation is at. There's a lot to complain about. Oftentimes, dumb stuff gets complained about which has no place getting complained about. But all it takes is more argument in good faith to fix the culture on here.
