    I don’t think a pre match voting for maps like OG cod could work becsuse of the 4v1 aspect. What I suggest would be like a rainbow six siege system where you choose a map you don’t want to go. How I would go about this would be reworking map offerings as map void offerings.

    Ahh yes, you will only see garden of joy, springwood and eyrie if that were the case. Idk how you could implement that in a 4v1.

    Honestly the only voting system I can see working would be one between [INDOOR] and [OUTDOOR], with the killer being able to select one or the other, or leave it up to the survivors. Specific maps are too exploitable for either side, so a normal voting system would always end up with a busted map for either side, which side depending on how the votes are weighted. That said, many killers have their powers' effectiveness change substantially depending on the map, especially with unique or niche builds like scratched mirror.

    I feel like there is enough of a split between survivor and killer sided maps that there would be relatively even distribution based on that criteria, while still allowing killer builds that rely on either low or high visibility. There could also be a middle ground where if the survivors and killer decide on opposite choices, it just picks a random map and leaves it up to chance. Until all maps are balanced (impossible) thats the most fair solution I can think of. It could even replace the map offerings as "votes" that could be spent for either map type. Honestly I feel like it would at least be an improvement from our current map offering system.

    I only said that because the RNG map selection is pretty bad I know an actual vote wouldn’t work since it’s 4 v 1 but still the offerings aren’t much better

    great and your solution is to replace it with arguably less functional and worse idea?

    at least current system has RNG half of the time.

    I wouldn't mind seeing a "unlicensed or licensed" map vote.

    If licensed & unlicensed maps were separated into different pools it's more likely that people would vote for what they want instead of what will secure a win.

    For those who don't know, Last Year actually tried this… and it didn't work. The Killer almost always got to go where they wanted because Survivors would vote for different maps, and their vote would increase in weight if multiple Survivors voted for the same map.

    Would be smarter to just show the map that is coming up instead in the lobby and let people prepare for it. People could try map offerings… or bring the ward to cancel map offerings. That ward would be given a use if map reveal in lobby was added…

    You know technically using a Map Offering IS Map voting, if you don't bring one you let fate choose, if you do you just voted for your map of choice 😅

    Doesn't really work in 4v1 and no matter how you implement it, game is going to be worse overall in my opinion.

    Simply when maps would be voted, game will always be worse for either side, because noone is going to vote for balanced map…

    No, map offerings are already a problem in the game and a pre match map voting would make this problem even worse, especially on the survivor side because now they can chose the map and use either luck offering or offerings to increase the hook distance. There is also the chance that players will dc or give up on hook when their map was not selected.

    In my opinion, there should be no option to chose the map or to increase the chance to get to a specific map. Instead, it should be based on RNG and then add a map repeat prevention to make sure a player does not see the same realm three times in a row.

    But at the very least, we need to buff sacrificial wards.
