I have changed my net connections from wifi to personal data, and the former is actually faster for downloads where I get Download speed reaching 50Mbps+ while downloading games on Steam. The latter is not as quick but does better on the game.
Either way it is a problem which seems to stem from a dearth of servers in our region (or something else).. any idea on how to circumvent this issue?

I'm not a tech wiz, especially with internet so I can't really answer your question. What about your Upload speeds on both your wifi and personal data? I used to have huge jumps in ping and and crazy lag in the past due to my upload speeds being trash. Maybe that could point you in the right direction?
