Sadako needs to be buffed to her basekit and survivors turning off tvs

Her basekit she be bloody finger nails and also reikos watch along with old news paper. Also I’m sick of survivors turning off her tvs without any punishments they should get exposed or at least have their aura reveals every 5 second for turning off tvs. Survivors should get punished for turning off her tvs because she can’t teleport around the map and it literally kills her momentum.

I agree, that she is frustrating and unfun to play, because of the changes to condemned in the reworks. I would prefer getting her first version back with some buffs. There she wasn’t a complete noob stomper and she was actually fun to play as and against, because you were actually able to chase with her flicker and teleport.

I made a post with some ideas to buff her, would be great hearing people take on these.

i’m not agreeing with super buffing her as she does need counterplay, however she also has a low pick rate (1.5%) so these numbers are inflated by players who probably main her and play her a lot, rather than the average player.

She also does well against casual players who don’t understand her power or players who choose to ignore it and prioritise gens over tapes - against mid - high mmr players tho she’s weak in both chase and ability.

Putting in the effort to turn off TVs and run tapes around the map while making sure Condemned doesn't get too high is not "free".

Sadako by all standards is a weak m1 killer, ranked in the lowest possible tier of killers and she needs a buff. Comparing her to other killers she gets it rough.

1- Her mechanic and slowdown can be shut down in a second and basically ignored till you reach end game.

2- Her stealth mechanic is useless because her lullaby exists.

3- Turning on heartbeat makes her teleport a joke and even without it she literally crawls out of the tv.

4- She has cero anti loop and chasing abilities.

5- Her perk selection is very limited because if you run what you need to run to make her decent, you have to completely avoid getting any information perk.

6- She has 3 must use add ons, and not having one of them renders her even weaker in all aspects. (And she has the worst iridescent add on the game).

There’s a lot of options to buff her, I made a few suggestions, but one that I found very cool was that as condemn grows, her intermittent invisibility gets stronger. That would be awesome because it would be a chase helper that is unique to her, she would have great mind games because she disappears and appears three seconds later. Instead of just hindering or haste or breaking pallets faster, she would be more like a mind game anti looper. Would LOVE that, would give her a lot of depth.

Which of these is now actually difficult or requires much time?

Right? Survivors can freely take a tape next to the gen they're working on without having to worry about condemn stacks (unless she chases you ofc). That's not even counting the fact they can turn off all your TVs while holding a tape too.

Tapes shouldn’t be free though with on top of the killer losing 2 her abilities with a one second push of a button... The counter is too strong especially with bhvr reducing the time it takes to jam a tape in. It’s the fastest killer interaction in the game... That’s her biggest issue right now, along with her poor stealth and also it being bugged horribly right now.

I agree and point 5 and 6 really stood out.

She just has too many flaws in so many areas.

win rate and kill rate has nothing to do with what I said. Maybe you should comprehend yourself and learn how to read properly. I never said I had an issue with winning with sadako I said she needs buffs regarding her chases when it comes to her addons which should be basekit bloody finger nails reikos watch and old newspaper addons.

i don't think you need run tapes…. the condemn build-up of current sadako is non-existent. i don't think you'll ever reach a point where your condemn meter builds-up significant to begin with. you can grab on to a tape and holding on to it while doing a gen. 70 second is long time.

depositing tapes is more of something you do passively. it's bonus if one player does a single tape run because you can turn off 5/7 tvs instead of 3-4/7 but it is almost not neccassary.

BVHR designs a killer cantered around mori's and pick franchised related to mori's but than disapproves of its own design.

    ehhhhhh

What about making it so that after grabbing a tape, each subsequent TV interacted with takes progressively more time to turn off until the tape is deposited? Similar to how doing the snap & clap against Freddy takes progressively more time the more you do it (except I think it'd be better design here, snap & clap is already so incredibly pointless most of the time). Maybe like +5ish seconds per TV turned off. That way people can't just turn off all the TVs along the way to their TV without investing more time and thus risking being caught.

Other than that her visibility bug definitely needs fixed and she probably does need the basekit add-on treatment.

IMO, she's in a weird, but overall decent spot. I'd like only two main things personally:

-Some sort of chase power. Removing the lullaby or at least massively decreasing it would achieve this for me.

-Make her a little less easy to shutdown by shortening her cooldowns when survivors interact with tapes a bit, or making the tapes be a bit threatening while holding. (Definitely not passive condemn with how much easier it is already to spread condemned in her current kit, but say getting hit while holding a tape gives you one stack of condemned and destroys the tape.) (For cooldowns, I was thinking making the cooldown variable based on if a tape is grabbed/inserted into a tv versus turning off a tv while holding a tape. For example, turning off a tv with a tape in hand could remain at 70s since there's a benefit for Sadako already with the survivor gaining one stack of condemn, but inserting/removing a tape in a tv would only invoke a cooldown of 60s.)

I'd also appreciate a couple tweaks to her addons, but that's much less important since her addons are overall in a decent spot as is.

And does the time make up for loosing your whole power? - NO, so it is free!!!!!

3s of grabbing a tape is nothing compared to loosing your whole power without anything being left to use. Alone loosing the teleport is worth more time than grabbing a tape. She is not even strong enough to warrant to have a 100% counter. She should be able to teleport to turned off TVs, because only condemned is supposed to get countered for free.

"3s of grabbing a tape" is understating it so hard that I can't take you seriously.

Okey keep ignoring the fact, that you require no effort at all to make her powerless. I don’t care.

Killer is the strongest role at every level of gameplay, even stronger than high mmr 4 man swf.

Very much disagree. Killer is certainly stronger at normal or lower mmr, but at high mmr, things get much more even, and a well coordinated 4-man swf is still stronger than most killers, although there are exceptions of course, like Nurse, who is completely broken.

And killer certainly isn't easy mode when going against good survivors.

I can assure you, this killer stands no chance against survivors, who do and understand the counterplay. There are zero drawbacks for taking away her whole power all day long.

I don’t think, they can buff this version to solve all of her current problems. Turning TVs off for free is by design and putting heavy downsides on this versions tapes would put survivors in a loose loose situation.

That’s why I think, the best solution is to make her like her first version, while keeping the buffs from the reworks and buff that version a bit. 1.0 was the most fun version, where you always had your power and survivors didn’t have that much power over you, which allowed more playstile diversity.

    Chase/flicker buffs:

    • The otherworld visible duration gets reduced to 1s or 1,2s (was1,5s)
    • The lullaby radius, terror radius and threshold for full invisibility gets decreased to 18m (was 24m) and the lullaby is no longer directional
    • In Sadakos post manifest flicker the red stain is hidden or she is undetectable for the flickering duration (new)
    • She flickers for 4s after crawling out of an TV (new)
    • Demanifest flicker and manifest flicker get the same values, which means she is invisible for 1,2s and visible for 1s/1,2s after manifesting like when demanifested
    • Her invisibility does not deactivate through breaking pallets and vaulting windows

    Teleport/chase buff:

    • Removal of TV auras
    • Tape insertion speed and the speed for turning off TVs is 1,5-2s (was 0,5s/1s)
    • TVs no longer turn off after projection (was 45s, iri tape basekit), which allows you to teleport to them infinitely until survivors turn them off, but the Tv you teleported to doesn’t spread condemned for 30s

A revert to some aspects of her first version with some condemned changes

    • Passive condemned: Every 25s of holding a tape you get 1 stack condemned
    • Only one TV spreads condemned (was all TVs)
    • Condemned gets spread in a 20-24m range (was 16m)
    • Hooking a survivor gives all other survivors 1 stack of condemned (new/ring drawing basekit)
    • Hooking locks all condemned stacks in (was 3)
    • (Every 60-80s survivors without a tape receive a stack of condemned, when survivors take a tape this timer is paused)

When she TPs on a TV, it takes less time for her to TP than survivor to take the tape. This even cancels the tape action.
