Survivors excited for new 2v8?
Im personally hyped for new 2v8 the classes buffs sound amazing we get ULTS basically Medic class is my preference and i cant wait to mass heal groups, Scout sounds awesome to rebuild pallets shack is gonna be a fav spot to rebuild.
Comeback mechanic will help us slightly although could use some number buffs could raise those to 2% to 3% (was 1%)
My future wish is that they add Smokebombs from the event to this and base game would be chaotic and fun.
Maybe Shoulder the burden could be an effect or its own new Tank class.
Do you guys think 2v8 is in a better spot for Survivors or needs more love?

I might actually consider coming back for 2v8 - been on a break since just after Dracula's release. Hopefully the changes should reduce match volatility a little and make survivor feel less outright miserable to play

I'm liking all the buffs and class changes, but I'm really not looking forward to Blight and unnerfed Billy. Rather annoyed they added the most meta killers to the mode almost instantly, instead of more goofy and fun ones like Bubba, Nemesis, Wesker, Unknown, etc. If 2v8 becomes a sweatfest, nobody's going to want to play it anymore. A big part of the charm for me was the clean slate from meta perks, items, and addons.
Hmm… I'd love Ghostface in the mode but 8 survivors potentially revealing him sounds like his personal nightmare.
Anyway. I'm very happy Medic got the buff it needed. It was terrible last time, and I say that as the person who's always bringing heal builds in 1v4. I wanted to like it, but it just wasn't it. I still wish they'd stop trying to make Urban Evasion a part of Scout and give it a better benefit, but what can you do.

I mean, last time it was survivor sided, but with no mmr it was pure chaos, so on average it felt kinda balanced. And even with this, I didn't escape that much in 1v4 EVER, even with half of survivors do nothing but throwing, almost every game someone made it to gates. I barely saw killers stomped matches, unlike in 1v4.
And with these insane buffs it will be only better, so I don't know about all these "miserable to play" and why there is so much need to play victims no matter what, survivors will be more than fine, it's not even a question. I definately will play more survivors, than killers in 2v8.1 -
I'm looking forward to 2v8 with the new survivor buffs. I personally thought survivor was fun last time around and now it should be even more fun.

I really hope Freddy makes it and I can find a Dredge main to play with.
For the survivors, the game will either be extremely bright or extremely dark, no in-between.

Not excited at all. Three weeks, if they extend it again, of awful queue times in the normal game mode and as killer in 2v8 for something that is boring within a couple of days as survivor.
I'll give it a chance, hopefully there's more variety this time, but if not it will be a break from the game for me till it goes. Just happy that I managed to do the Myers Evil Incarnate trophy lasr night before it gets even harder to do!

I'm pretty neutral since I didn't particularly enjoy the first iteration. I'm still going to try this version of course but will see

I'm not sure about the changes they made.
For example the haste they added always tend to break the game.
Also full power Billy and Blight in one team? I'm not looking forward to that.2 -
That combo in the same match with two people playing together that know what they are doing will just be mass suicide on hook/cage!

My thoughts exactly. Billy + blight every game will get tedious insanely fast.

- honestly no. a few games as a survivor in 2Vs8 can be fun, but they will never replace my preference for "classic game". I will definitely do the tome 100%, but as soon as I complete it I will move on to the normal game (or I will play 2Vs8 as killer) in my opinion the role of survivor in this mode will always be mediocre compared to the killer's entertainment possibilities... for the simple reason that the survivor's gameplay remains unchanged, perhaps slightly impoverished

So survivor sided none of the survivor classes—not one—could even break even (50/50) with killers. The killer win rate was still higher in 2v8 than the survivor win rate.

TBF most of those are licensed killers, honestly expect the new licenses to start being implemented to 2v8 first since they probably already have a deal done.
And the next confirmed license is FNAF, so it will be a while ...

I don't know, they slapped haste increment on killers everywhere which is game breaking, also imagine finding a buffed version of blight and spirit here too, much fun…
In general survivor experience doesn't seem to have changed much since the 1st version and that sounds pretty boring overall but I'll give it a try.2 -
That's a good point! I'm always careful not to step on Pyramid heads trails so I'm not sure and haven't played as him yet. You can certainly miss skill checks on the second stage though.

Oh no, game mode with no mmr didn't break 50/50 in game, which balanced around 40/60, sheeeesh, real tragedy.
If you so obsessed with stats, and see literally nothing behind numbers, surely we should buff Nurse and nerf Freddy, right?1 -
The 60/40 split for normal queue is irrelevant. A thing cannot be survivor-sided with survivors losing more. Both Nurse and Nightmare have kill rates over 50%. You really thought you did something there.

I looooooved the first time it was oodles of fun. That and MLO were peak.
This 2v8 is still fun, I just was hoping its be more ambitious the 2nd time around. I want my license content

Confirmed you cannot give up on first hook in cages but you can miss skillchecks on second should be a basekit thing in normal matches

2v8 round 2 is actually a lot better this time around for survivors able to get pallet and flash saves and the insane class ults is a comeback dream medic ive gotten an 6 man heal and guide you can pop an entire gen in seconds survivors are definitely alot better

I think they wanted to make it more appealing for people to queue as survivor so the wait times aren’t as bad. Even with the buffs it’s still a long wait to get in as killer though. And let’s also not forget killers were buffed as well.
