I don't know if it's just a skill issue but in the 4 games I've played half the time they pop 2 gens by the time we finish one chase, it's still a fun game mode don't get me wrong but it doesn't feel very balanced, but there's not much that can be done now that it's out.

Because it's by far the best and most refreshing aspect of 2v8.

2v8 has been requested since basically day 1. However the Survivor side was always a (often dysfonctional) team-based game with teamwork making all the difference. The ability to play with friends has been Survivor-exclusive until recently (modded servers don't really count).

The Killer side however has been basically single player and most of the time the sole "target" in post-game chat. With 2v8 not only can you play with your friend but you now aren't alone when/if the other side throws slurs/threats at you. The Killer experience is way more fresh and different from normal than Survivors (which is roughly the same as usual, even more so now that flashlight saves are possible again) which is the whole appeal of the mode.

Simply put, DBD's playerbase simply isn't big enough to sustain 2 different queues (normal & something else) at once, especially when one side is blatantly more fun and refreshing than the other, while maintaining decent queue times.
