Adjust the 2v8 gen speeds.
It's crazy how gens fly in this mode regardless of what killer you pick or your power choice.
The so-called penalty of 5% per gen repaired never works while survivors always have increased gen repair speed on top of that thanks to so many hook stages.
It takes 10 minutes to find the match as killer and match is over in 3 or 4 minutes. Honestly this is much worse than the previous 2v8 iteration. You tried to make this more ''survivor-friendly'' and ended up making it ''killer-unfriendly'' instead. Really a shame.

The mode was Survivor sided before this. They made it more so. Like why would a smart Surv pick anything OTHER than the Gen class?

I have to agree survivors were buffed way too much with gen speeds. Ive been queuing as a killer for 15-20 minutes just for the matches to last 5 minutes. No matter how much downs we get the gen speed is way too fast.

Picking up survivors is an awful move too. It slows the game down for killers waaaay too much.

If I wanted a gen rush fest I'd play a survivor with friends with stacked stuff in standard mode.

I feel like between the gen speeds and the meta killers, it's basically inevitable 2v8 morphs from the fun chaos of last iteration to the sweaty minmaxing that's already consumed 1v4. You need genrush to counter two meta mobility killers, so you bring it. You need two meta mobility killers to counter genrush, so you bring them. If you don't, you get stomped, it's miserable, and you go "okay, I'm going to sweat next game."
2v8 was so much fun last time because unless you were up against a big SWF, it wasn't very optimized and you didn't have to play that seriously. Now the optimization everywhere is making it so that being casual gets you destroyed.

Then play survivor and don't gen rush? They added stun saves so it's now worthwhile opening chests and going for alturism.

The funniest part is that killer is still more fun to play than survivor because there's more interesting stuff going on there.
Survivor is still braindead "hold m1 a bit here and there, get a free unhook" with even less chase involved. Boring role with nothing interesting except bloodpoints.

Well, yes since the concept itself remains fun even with these changes. Unfortunately the the gameplay got much worse though.

Sadly doesn't work since survivors get picked up extremely quickly. Tried that few times and slugging simply did nothing. Also I'm not sure but survivors do have a base-kit ub here as well so getting 8 man slug is no longer possible.

Last time it was pretty well balanced. 55% kill rate supports that it felt more fair for survivors versus 1vs4 where killers stomps often. On killer side you had to work more often for wins but most matches were winnable.
Now for current state I don't yet have opinion first game I lost on killer with my lil bro we were rusty and faced solid team. He quitted after that and I switched to wraith and noticed he is omega buffed and got downs left and right I won even with potato trapper as my teammate with 2 gens left. We took time to kill first probably like 14th hook.
Tried one game on survivor and my team was stomped by blight and hillbilly 4 gens left. So my small sample size the more better playing side wins. However still too early to tell.

Mobility killers are the only one that work. Billy who can now insta-down and Blight can combo quite well because they can spread and regroup very quickly if needed.
Trapper and Deathslinger though are 90% chance loss as they can't really do much and are still extremely slow.

Honestly, not having an issue with the gen speeds this time around.
Granted I should play more, but on killer I'm getting pretty consistent 7-8ks with a competent teammate and the few times I tried survivor we escape with only 2-3 dead. I was worried the speed modifiers for kills/gens would be a problem, but they feel okay with how they implemented it.
That said, I have yet to play a match with 2 slower killers that have no traps or mobility. I feel like Slinger/Spirit could be a problematic combo for gen pressure.3 -

I don’t think the gens can really tamper more with gen speeds with Hillbilly, Blight, and Spirit in the game. They’re top-tier killers alone and together a force to be reckoned with.

Spirit suffers in this mode quite a bit. Medic has ability to lose scratch marks and scout has built in iron will. Both counter her very well. So far i've not seen spirit perform as good as people think.

The Mode is so unfun and trash as Killer its the perfect Bully Simulator for Survivor the Gens are way to fast u cant even hold it whit a Good Blight and Nurse
When u are a Survivor Main and u arent to good to escape in the normal Modus this Modus is perfect for you escaping in this Modus is so freaking easy u dont need any Skill
Im just playing it for the Tome Challanges and never going to Touch it again
The Funny thing there are still Survivor Mains who say this Modus is Killer Sided 🤷🏻♀️

What do you mean?
The mode's core idea is that you hunt survivors with a partner, something you can't do in standard 1v4. Meanwhile, for survivors, it's still survive the match where instead of 3 team mates you have 7. From survivor point of view there isn't really anything new introduced.

Pretty much the same way I see this event. A way to get some extra rift fragments and unlock new content. In it's current state it is much less fun than the original 2v8.

Insulting the skill of everyone who disagrees with you, check.
Dismissing problems by insisting it's a skill issue and the majority of the playerbase just sucks that much, check.
Insisting everyone who doesn't agree with you is a main of Not My Side, check.
Right now 2v8's in a bad state for everyone because everyone got handed really busted stuff. Guide didn't need buffs and now it gets free immediate repair boosts on top of unnecessary general repair speed increases. Coordinated Medics can heal each other mid-chase. We got unnerfed Billy and Blight together.
If you don't use the most meta stuff available to you, you get wrecked and the mode feels awful. Killers do best with meta and slugging to avoid the gen speed boost. Survivors do best going maximum efficiency with stacked medics and guides and genrushing. It's neither fair nor fun, but you're myopic if you can't see that survivors aren't in a healthy state or getting a good experience out of this either.

The fact is, and this is undeniable, and indisputable - ALL the buffs survivors got, gens should have been increased to 10. They should have been 10 to begin with. Everything was doubled, except for the survivors objective. Not even close to fair.

I just said that the Mode is Extreme easy as Survivor and that u dont need any Skill to win as Survivor because the Gens are way to fast
Im Bad at Looping as Survivor and i still won all of my 2 vs 8 Games because it dont take any Skill when the Gens are so fast and gets faster whit every Killer hook the Mode is Trash for Killer its a Bullying Simulator its even more Survivor Sided than the normal 4vs1 mode

Nah now playing it and survivors have been nerfed noticeably and killers omega buffed which is not good when queques are so long for killers and for anyone enjoying both sides. Hillbilly instadown should not be in this mode it's too overpowering. Now I question why Oni was just not added in the mode. He is most well balanced killer and playable for console too.
I won all my games with wraith and trappers and huntress as my teammates. If your logic is killers with only 100% winrate work then for sure. As for now my winrate for wraith is 100% but only 3 games but all killer teammates had no mobility and 2 were new players.

I've played like 6 matches so far and none of them were lopsided survivor victories. Just as with the previous run of 2v8 mode, this run has pulled in a bunch potato survivor players who run around doing nothing for most of the match and then get downed about 5 seconds after they start getting chased. I think killers are going to be fine if my initial matches are any indication.

This hasn't been my experience at all. I've been playing survivor in 2v8 mode so far (because I don't want to wait in long queues to play killer) and most of my teammates have been completely useless potatoes. Running around not doing gens and getting downed immediately after chases start. My success rate escaping hasn't been much better than typical solo queue 1v4 games.

There's nothing wrong with Trapper if you know how to play m1 and use the Haste

He is plain useless in this mode at it's current state unless survivors are potatoes or blind.
Meanwhile survivors can slam gens by getting tokens thanks to certain classes. By the time trapper gets his trap set the generator nearby will get popped.
Trapper physically doesn't have time to place his traps in places, defend gens and shoo survivors simultaneously. The only time he can do anything is only against weak survivors.

When completing a generator, gain a 5% charge per Survivor nearby. The next time you work on a generator, those charges are immediately applied to the generator.

Hopefully next 2 v 8 round they will increase the gen to 10.

I haven’t played her to see but I did face a Spirit. She was with an AFK Nurse. Got a 1K. Probably would have been better if her teammate wasn’t dead weight.

I only played her yesterday and she's still plagued by sound issues and the hard counters with medic and scout are pretty effective against her. Some of the spirit mainers have already said she's horrible to play in 2v8.

I mean her husk still moans while you phase out this happens in many cosmetic, and sounds sometimes come out completely wrong. I hear someone right infront of me just to find them 300 meters away, Survivors have no footstep sounds sometimes even without lightfooted. I dunno those are the issues ive noticed, ive seen many spirit mainers say they have some audio issues as well. Also the constant sounds in 2v8 aint doing any favors for a killer that has to hear things.
I've heard that one way to fix the sound issues that she has is to turn down your FOV…which sucks by itself already.

That's exactly it! The spirit is weaker in this mode, and many factors influence it. It's impossible to defeat a killer in a 2v8 if the survivors play as a team, have some coordination, and a plan. If we have chaos, then victory becomes quite real! But it's better to do it on a Huntress.

This is a hot take, considering I played three matches in a row, and out of 24 survivors, only two of us made it out, me in one match, and a Laura in another.
I definitely afree that gen regression shouldn't keep getting nerfed, but 2v8 is so much more tolerable as a survivor now. It use to be that 4 of us would be sac'd already and there'd still be 6 gens to get done. At least now we can power the gd gates.
To be fair, I haven't done killer in 2v8. But when they get the Unknown in there, I'll have my Funknown. Or Artist, or Plague, or Drackels or Michael

You're not wrong, though. I don't like 1v4 Trapper but 2v8 Trapper has some Knight qualities with his zoning because of the increased speed. I treat my traps as more of a "touch n go" speed boost more than an actual loop closer

It's unbalanced for you because you play killer... how is it that your saying the speed is too fast when my whole team dies before we get the last gen? Play survivor and I promise at least half your team will be dead by the end of it
