Please, do PTBs of the temporary gamemodes before releasing them
Past gamemodes were kinda fun, not gonna lie.
However, the new 2v8 has some mechanics that can be abused by survivors.
First of all, the gen progress bonification for each hook phase encourages gen rushing and ending games too fast for everyone to enjoy. Applying pressure and preventing repairs is more difficult than ever.
The huge amount of pallets in the map was already enough to give a fun element to chases. But allowing the rebuilding of pallets was too much. Now survivors have this endless supply of tools and killers cannot have "safe zones" in which they don't have to worry about pallets. Infinite pallets are unbalanced basically.
The cage teleporting being gone encourages tunnelling and camping as well. A killer just needs to stay around a cage to secure a kill while his mate is out there applying pressure.
This could have been solved if a 2v8 PTB was released before the actual gamemode came out. Sometimes a test is needed when you apply changes to see if things work as intended. And it is true that the intention was good this time, but the results clearly didn't match that spirit.

How could they accomplish this? The PTB is only for those who play on Steam, and we are seeing again how splitting the playerbase crushes queue times. Imagine those wait times with a fraction of a fraction of players able to participate.
