About Dracula spammable Hellfire
Please don't get me wrong.
I just want to have a healthy discussion and understand this.
Here it goes: devs and some players are saying that Dracula's Hellfire is too spammable, so that's the reason it is getting it's cooldown increased by 50%, which it's pretty high.
So what killers like Billy do exactly by using a insta-down dash with no cooldown? What's the word for it? Maybe "SPAM"?
Could a DEV please clarify?

Dracula has 3 forms and the developers noticed that many players use only two forms, which are the vampire form and the bat form, and ignore the wolf form.
So they increased the cooldown of Hellfire and at the same time they buff the wolf form, so you can use it if Hellfire fails to hit the survivor or if you simply want a wolf form with improvements.
As you also said, Hellfire is used repeatedly, every loop Hellfire is used at least twice.

But the Wolf does not make the same thing as Hellfire.
The pounce is useless in situations where Hellfire would work.
The buffs for the Wolf are almost non-existent. My friend mains him and uses the Wolf, but certainly people who don't will still not use it with these minor buffs.
Every loop Hellfire is used two times, which is not the case for Billy. He can keep using the dash until he gets you. When you use Hellfire 2 times you can use Billy's dash 6 or 7 times in the same time frame.6 -
maybe because wolf form is bad and i am not even sure if the buffs change anything about the form.

It has it's uses, but it's indeed Dracula's worst form.
-Walking backwards is slow for some reason.
-The pounce is easy to dodge and the camera is too damn sensitive for the 2nd one, so it's pretty easy to miss your target.
-The orbs don't do a great job at tracking survs. They don't point the direction the surv went accurately.
-Breaking pallets with the pounce is not faster as with other killers who can break them with their power.
-Maybe it could vault a little faster?
The buffs are indeed basically inexistent.
If DEVs want us to use it more they are not going to succeed by not buffing it/nerfing his other forms.1 -
Must be me but every drac I go against get some really lame bull crap hit and catch up in wolf form. Wolf form is still the most annoying to me double pounce should be more punished like when wesker misses a grab.

I think Wesker is more punished simply because he goes much farther if he misses the 2nd dash.
Wolf's 2nd pounce is basically instant and it's pretty common for you to hit your head twice on the same object because of that.0 -

But can spam the dash as much as he likes and survs don't get that much distance since, eh, it's a dash.
Hellfire is pretty much useless against good survs. You can only use it to counter bait them to body block windows and pallets or hit them if they are locked in an animation.4 -
Hellfire is absolutely not useless against good Survivors, and you don't need an animation lock to hit with it.
The difference between Billy and Dracula is that Billy still has to abide by the obstacles that the game provides. He has a quicker pallet break, sure, but Hellfire completely ignores pallets and windows, and a lot of terrain, so it needs a longer cooldown to compensate.

"Pretty much useless" means very low chance of success. Completely useless would refer to 100% fail.
50% increase in cooldown is too much.4 -
I hit the majority of my Hellfires. If you can't, then that probably just means you need more practice.

Doesn't change the fact this cooldown is atrocious.
I only play him sometimes. My friend is maining him and as far as I've watched his matches he also hits with Hellfire most of the time.
If they buff the Wolf in a decent way this cooldown could be fine, otherwise he'll be basically a M1 killer.
My main, Vecna, is getting better with this patch. In fact every killer is except Dracula.
I'm trying to understand and "fight" for the cooldown to stay the same just to help my friend out and out of sheer curiosity on why a 50% increase in cooldown would be OK.2 -
I feel like double pounce shouldn’t exist it’s bad game design.

I think if this get's removed or they give him just one pounce that travel two times more it would make the Wolf immensely worst because with double pounce it at least is somewhat useful in loops.
Also you use Wesker's "face" and say a double "dash" is bad? 😂
Just messing with you, but this is kinda funny indeed since this double pounce works almost as Wesker's dashes.😛1 -
Wolf form should really be able to vault similar to Legion, so it's more dynamic and doesn't have that awkward pause as if Dracula in that form is afraid of getting hurt as he carefully hops through the window. Let him vault over pallets/windows how Legion does while in their power.

If I was on the team, I'd have you covered! :) When you start getting paid to do things, I imagine that must take a lot of the joy out of it and in turn you don't come up with any good ideas like I've seen fans have. Being inside and looking out must really suck.

Have no idea about balance of it, but vaulting would be a great thing to make the Wolf unique somehow.
And that's why I'm not a veterinarian or game designer.
Love animals and games too much for money to ruin them for me.0 -
I agree. I sometimes wonder how some of these things get put into the game without more love/care put into visuals and animation especially. I'm sure they're limited on time, but at the end of the day you really just need the perfect person in each chair, which I can say for sure they don't have atm..

That or ideas are getting shot down by higher ups. shrugs Its hard to say since we are not in their on day to day work schedules.
