Feedback on The Spirit in patch 8.3.0
With the latest patch (8.3.0), there were some undocumented changes to Spirit (not sure if it's a bug or intentional changes from the devs), but I wanted to say that I liked them.
The Spirit's husk now makes sound from the killer's perspective, which it didn’t before. This opens up more counterplay for survivors, who can use the sounds from the husk, within the terror radius, to camouflage themselves and make it harder to be heard.
On the flip side, the phase sound, also from the killer's perspective, is gone. This makes it easier to track survivors especially outside the terror radius. I’ve been hearing sounds that I haven't noticed before, like the sound of survivors walking on terrain (instead of just running), and their breathing has become more pronounced. This used to be very inconsistent, and being able to hear better is extremely rewarding.
The change also brought some life to a couple of addons that were totally useless (Mother's Glasses and Wakizashi Saya), both of which utilize Spirit's husk.
I really hope this is official, because these changes, without altering Spirit's main mechanics, have given a refreshing twist to her gameplay.

I would say this is a really bad change, and hear me out.
I’m a new dbd player and I’ve just started playing dbd maybe 3-4 weeks before this patch and I’ve been playing spirit for these 3-4 weeks and now after this patch I’m rethinking if I should still play dbd since the only killer I knew how to play to some extent is unplayable now because the husk noises are wayyyyy too loud and frequent and I just can’t deal with it at all

Her loud husk makes short phases with the spirit (most of the ones you'll be doing if you're decent with her any way) almost completely guesswork on your part too. NOT a good bug
