Incentive to play survivor in 2v8
150%? Thats all i get for signing myself up for punishment in solo against killer duos. Sometimes 250%. Thats it. In all this time that 2v8 has been out, at least this new version, i have managed to escape only once. Constantly i see 5-7 kills and sometimes even an 8k. This is more than 40 games i have played now and only at start of this iteration of 2v8 was it 350% extra bp. Last iteration i escaped much more often, so whatever you did to this one, thanks for killing the fun mode. The only people i see having fun are the killers, and this measly 150% bonus for survivors seems more like telling the survivors to go eff themselves. Last time we had 2v8 i played at least 10-20 games a day. Now, after 4 or 5, im just too depressed to bother and seeing that 150% staring at me from the ready button, i just ask myself "why should i? what am i gaining? i cant even escape with new tools anymore so its pointless." So the reasonable thing i do is just quit instead. I dont even feel like playing this with my friends anymore. Already got my rift to deep and beyond so unless there are some changes coming, i dont think ill be buying the next pass anymore. Why bother if there is no fun nor incentive to playing anymore? Certainly no point in cosmetics if im not gonna be using them.
Apparently im not alone in this because i see players just disconnecting after going on stage 2 from killer chasing a player near a cage or when they get slugged for the 8k. Some just give up after the second hook for no apparent reason. Although ive seen it happen more often when several are hooked and only 3 or less gens have been completed. Honestly, im not even sure if ill bother finishing the second page of 2v8 archives when that opens.

Most of my games usually result in a 3k max and im solo. Survivors disconnect for a bunch of reasons. Like of all the 8 survivors maybe one is on a gen during the whole chase. I just DCd because i got my fourth wraith/huntress combo in a row and just couldn't be bothered with another and switched to killer for variety.
Idk if MMR is in 2v8, I do feel like it has alot to do with the luck of the teams you get and how many technicians are on gens. Most matches i lose have 1 or less technician and everyone just focusing on saves rather than gens.

I mean, I would love to have 400% bonus back, but I play most of my games in 2v8 on survivors solo/duo and it is quite easy to escape.
Even if it goes bad, it ends fast, so not really "signing myself up for punishment".2 -

Well its really nice to see you all have superior skills and have looped killers for the better part of your life. I guess this game is not meant for new players or players just beginning to grasp its fundamentals. I can always find other things to play, especially if the community does not give a hoot about anyone with less than 1000 hours in dbd. Guess we will see how long the game lasts with new survivors constantly dying and being alienated while new killer players is a cakewalk. I can easily get 4k in most games. Surviving is a different matter however. Why do i say 4k? Because these responses go beyond the 2v8 mode. Apparently the devs see this the same way these 1000+ h players do. Guess i never should have bought this, but it does not say anywhere that new players should stay away unless they love having bad time.

i´m finding killer matches every 8 minutes here, i´m probably getting very lucky
