When 1 Generator remains in 2v8, nobody will work on one.
Most 2v8 Survivor games I lose is because of this. The Killers could have 1 hook on each Survivor and nobody will even attempt to repair the final generator. It's so annoying but funny too. Nobody has a problem saving others when 1 generator remains, but they will not repair it.

I literally just played a much like this after you left. 10 straight minutes with 1 gen left and me and 1 other person where the only ones trying to work on them. It was ridiculous lol

It's not much different to 1v4 lol first few gens pop fast and then nothing. But it's embarrassing seeing like 6+ survivors and I'm the only one trying to get a gen done (usually while on death hook too). Then when I'm caged I see one or two slow entering or exiting lockers lmao

It's like everyone is paranoid but if 3 survivors attack one gen then survivors 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 can heal them if they get pulled off.
I oddly don't have this experience in 1v4 but I think it's the threat of two Killers on the loose that scares everyone lol π

When I am on survivor this happens a lot. People start cleansing totems I mean⦠no one works on gens or basically just t bag the killer whole game without doing anything.
When I am on killer I get swat sweaty teams of survivors that rush gens and pop 3 or 4 in the first 2 minutes of the game. Oh well haha.

They're just countering BBQ, lol

I wanna give my solo queue team mates a bit of credit butβ¦ damn you're probably right π

I really miss the time when people would do that every match because BBQ was basically the only aura-reading perk you had to worry about.
Peak DBD.

I joke that the ones doing totems are countering NOED.

Way too much aura reading these days. I've only been playing Killer aside from 2v8.
I really wish Killer aura perks weren't so common but thankfully I play both sides so I can still enjoy the game irrespective of which side is too OP at any given time.

I agree completely, my dear friend.
I remember when I first started playing DBD it was reasonable for a survivor to keep track of aura reveal. A Nurse's Calling, BBQ, Bitter Murmur, a few add-ons here and there and Freddy who had it basekit. That was it. You could expect survivors to understand which aura reveal the killer was using and work around it.
But now that is simply no longer possible. Everything that you do, even just starting the match (Lethal Pursuer) will reveal your aura, and it shouldn't be like that.
And yes, it is good to play both sides. That is when DBD's experience really shines. Though I gotta say I've been playing more survivor than killer these days. I really want to get my Mikaela to P100.

I've had killers complain about this also but they also never chased at 1 gen left, camping gens the whole time.

I despise Lethal Presuer. I'll take old NOED any day of the week. At least you were able to earn some bloodpoints before you died π

Yes, I agree.
Generally speaking the killer meta was way better in the past than the one we have now.

I have been mainly lucky with my 2v8 as survivor the only game that go bad are one when several people are throwing.
One game few people were afk and another game i was very sus about why no one was doing anything when i went to spectate 5 players were in corner with crows round there head i was like ah damn.1 -
Trouble is, the thing that you want to do, which is to join a few other Survivors to pop the last gen, is liable to get you killed in this mode. If more than one player gets on a gen, Killers get intel on where you are. In the late game, some might already be dead or on death hook, so Survivors can be understandably reluctant to give away their position.
I've been able to pop the last gen by myself a couple of times before, but if I see anyone coming to help me they better be Guide class or I'm out of there!

I mean killers do get aura when a gen pops and under other circumstances so you may actually be right in a way

Till first hook in 2v8 it feels like aura is read 70-80% of the time after 30 seconds.

Yeah, I think when there are only a gen or two left and most of the survs are alive, people just wait for someone else to finish things, and nothing gets done. I think people just assume that since there are so many survs, someone else will take care of it.
One such match I died in I spectated and saw two survs just waiting by the exit gate with seven gens done, but no gens were even in progress. Everyone was just hiding and waiting for someone else to finish the gen.

I've seen this as well. I think there's a couple of factors. By this point you probably have survivors on death hook being cautious, you have survivors who don't know where the gens are, and if the gens are clustered together getting to them against two killers can be difficult.

I play guide almost exclusively. idk why, guess I'm a masochist: gotta see the desaster coming, how gen after gen gets done and no one bothers to stop a second and think: are the last five gens maybe stacked right on top of each other?
Which is exactly what usually happened when the last, sometimes the last two gens, are near impossible to complete; in part because you can't even get to them (depending on the map). Alas, killers tend to catch on too, so if you're the only one who tries to have decent gen spread from the beginning - or you and someone else - then it's just you two who're dead very early and those gens are still not done cause they get interrupted all the time. I've given up trying to do that early and by now just hope that if everyone's rushing to five gen themselves there are enough hookstages to go around to still get the last one done smh. I try to get a tb and try to get some guide-stacks to smack into that last gen with someone else β¦ and sometimes it works out.

Its amazing no one understands this mode isn't a serious 'must win' thing. Its for fun. Its a fun mode to have fun in. When 1 gen remains, and its clearly a wash, maaaaaaaybe players just⦠wanna play the game and winning isn't important? 2v8 is chaos anyway, and thats kind of the point.
I've pity for these types. Must feel really horrible.

Ive noticed killers seem to try and hold one corner of the map and it makes it near impossible get anything done when this happens.
