Buff (no rework) Trickster and Ghost Face

Ghost Face "Philly" Base Kit 100%
The Trickster "Memento Blades"" Base Kit 100%

It would be a small step... I won't be too demanding, most killers are useless

I'd rather base kit trick blades tbh, not for any power level reasons just for flavour.

Rework trickster into his old variant. The new one just feels so…. soulless because you get no recoil from blades and you have to spend 8 blades per injury. Just took away a lot of the skill factor in him.

The old Trickster is so horrible... for God's sake I'm not happy with the current one!! It just needs a small buff and that's enough with so much useless rework, these 2 deserve a BUFF

Eh I'd say pretty impossible to buff trickster without major changes to how he throws knives. The best I can really think its making different modes like the regular throw mode then a 2 burst throw for longer ranges. But other than that I liked old trickster WAY better that this shell he used to be.

As a console player, I should be in heaven with the lack of recoil + being 115% but honestly the rework sucked the soul out of him and i just don't see why I'd ever play him anymore.

i think his issue is that ghostface is unreliable at getting exposed first hits. the time it takes for him to stalk is time that survivor can go to loops in which ghostface has inadequate chase. the character requires you to be near melee range to confirm downs with hit ability and otherwise he is a character with exposed ability that conflicts with his stealth. the two need to synergize for him to be good. i don't think philly and matchbook on the ptb will fulfill that goal.

I agree that is a good point. There is a conflict between how his expose works and being stealth. This is why I run Drop Leg and PWYF to offset this design issue. Drop Leg base kit?

And before we ask this and then get Drop Leg nerfed to 5% and 5% base kit…lol please no, let's end this trend of nonsense.

Trickster needs a rework, I'd say, and they need to lower his movement speed back to 4.4

He is miserable to play against in his current state.

Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course.

That a killer needs to give 6 or 8 hits… if 4.4 is horrible, I'm not going to be giving 5 flights for a rock, he's a killer too weak at a long and medium distance, he deserved his 4.6 was the best thing that the give for him, I'm so Trickster P100 and the current Trickster is much better than Rework as it was before, SIMPLY NEEDS A BUFF without nerfing what you have,, Memento Blades 100% base kit, and it would be ideal to start and see what people say so I can use another addon without depending on it because without this addon the killer is useless

I would make the memento blades 100% base kit and the addon would go from 10% /// to 1%2 or 3%

Now… buff this addons… Part Chords // Caged Heart Shoes …are useless

4.4 again? no plss is ((Weak at Mid-Long range)) doesn't make sense, it is well deserved for the weak to give 6/8 hits on m2
    4.6s is 100% deserved

I would make the memento blades 100% base kit and the addon would go from 10% to 1-3%

And buff this addons … Part Chords // Caged Heart Shoes … this addons are useless

They should bring back old trickster from before the rework and buff his main event. Then he is in a good spot. Maybe even make the bouncing knives addon basekit.

i'd say that survivors should be hindered for 10-20% for 2-3 seconds to have slight difference between wraith and ghostface. i run pwyf and drop-leg as well but a killer being completely reliant on a perk to function is not great.

the problem that i have with playing vs tricksters as survivor is that there a lot of trickster's that don't use his ability and rather m1 than use his ability. i suspect reason for this is that trickster's knives are too difficult to use and the time gained from not using his ability vs using his ability is not significant enough for players to use his ability. for example i watched tru3 play trickster and he'd just m1 with him for entire game. I was like, wow, i don't really play trickster like that at all and i don't think dev want you to m1 with him. that is why i think that reducing his knife count by -1 (Old malicious murder base-kit) and his main event by -1 would be sufficient changes for him. I think he just needs little bit more reward in regular throwing mode. Memento blade base-kit would also be good for him but i think they would need slightly lower his main event throwing bonus so that main event throwing bonus is same.

    I agree about Trickster.

My only issue with the Ghostface change is, as you eluded to, it makes him very similar to Wraith. Maybe keep the "issue" we're talking about but just buff him in a bunch of other ways to compensate.

i think what keeps them different is exposed vs fast traversal/movement speed. some killer player heavily over-value moving around the map quickly. says that it boosts their map presence or something.

I think my issue with GF is how fragile his gameplay can end up being. Sneak around and stalk only saves you time if you don't get caught often, and sometimes there simply isn't a direction to approach from that leaves you in a stealthy position.

That said, he's one of my true favorites to play and I'll stick by him no matter what. The QoL buffs he's getting should be nice for now, so I'm content.

If there was any change I'd make, it'd be that survivors get a prompt and have to hold line of sight on GF while pressing it to reveal him, so that oblivious players don't end up busting him out of stealth.

This is part of it, I think Reveal is too sensitive and also too harsh. You NEED to keep Shroud up as much as possible; Reveal itself is not the issue, it's the fact it's so sensitive you can't keep Shroud up reliably without addons like Walleye's. It's too severe a punishment for what it is. It only seems to work if you are very close to him but not TOO close. It also needs to just… take longer to Reveal basekit and also needs to drop its progress when someone stops staring at you. I can control my stalk, Survivors should be able to be more tactical about Reveal and Ghostface should not be punished for bad ping or server issues with the Reveal.

I like the idea you came up with, I also think if they are doing stuff like healing, cleansing, repairs, etc. it should be harder for them to Reveal him - the character is focusing on something after all.

It is so, so refreshing to hear someone else say this, I have always said it. Map traversal and movement isn't everything. Every Killer can control a map, some just do it in different ways. Ghostie's version isn't map traversal, it's not knowing where he might BE. Not being able to be found and thus not knowing where he could be at, is how he controls the map. It's intended to make Survivors play more carefully.

The problem is the Reveal mechanic doesn't always play nice with this idea.
