Flashlight blind animation but killer not blinded

Played on RPD against Xeno without lightborn. Used green flashlight with green battery and sapphire lense (which I believe to be the issue). I got several blinds on the killer that didn't do the beam tightening animation but would do the blind sound effect and animation. The killer wouldn't drop the survivor from the stun and wasn't blinded as he indicated in post chat. This happened the entirety of that match. I used flashlight is several matches prior without the sapphire lense just fine. That was the first match since the patch I used that lense which leads me to believe it may be bugged.

PLATFORM: PC

    Me too, in RE against the Clown. Idk if it was blinded or not, but it takes a lot to blind animation, and Champion of Light seems not to be working there 🤔. He chased me in seconds : )
