DBD Needs A Game Health Only Chapter
I enjoy DBD a lot. Have been engaging in content in some form whether watching streamer content or playing since 2018. The came has come a long way since then and devs have done a lot to modernize the game.
I appreciate that effort first and foremost and I hope that sometime soon they put that effort into a health only chapter
Because the bugs are truly getting out of hand.
Ever since the engine change, the game has progressively gotten buggier and BHVR just keeps piling new content on top of it. Yes I know the code makes it difficult but if you can code NEW content into the game, surely you’re capable of going back and fixing the old.
People still playing the game despite how buggy it is is a testament to how unique the DBD experience is because any other game probably would’ve died out a long time ago. People will say if they don’t make new content they won’t make money, but overtime people will start quitting the game due to being sick of the bugs.
So it’s either invest in the long term money strategy and lose in the short term or squeeze out every dollar you can piling new content on a mountain of bugs and watch your player base die over time and I sincerely hope they do the former not the latter.
Curious to hear what everyone else thinks

Couple years ago they did a mid-chapter patch that was only bug fixes. No killer power/add on adjustments, no perk adjustments. Just bug fixes. The Nurse got a ton of bug fixes in that mid-chapter. The forums were filled with people complaining that the mid-chapter didn't have anything new for them to try in the form of killer tweaks or perk tweaks like normally happens in a mid-chapter, it was just bug fixes. It was called a disappointing and boring midchapter.
After that BHVR won't do an only bug fix chapter, they'll always a regular patch with new killer/survivor and mid-chapter patch that has some sort of tweaks for people to try out new things. BHVR always said that a chapter or midchapter focusing on just bugs wouldn't go over well and those very vocal players proved BHVR right.

will not happen.
that will cost money.
it doesn't generate money1 -
A lot of people agree on this, however the community dev managers have said that’s what midchapters are for.
There are a lot of bug fixes coming up on Thursday as well. I think an overall health patch would be nice though.0 -
I’d even be ok with a chapter with half killer tweaks/addon passes and half bug fixes because a lot of killer addons are bugged too. I understand how ppl would think that it is boring with no new content. They could still release new skins with these updates, or new moris or limited time game modes. I think there’s a lot of things they could do to keep new things for players to do while getting the most bugs fixed possible.

It takes BHVR years to add the most basic ######### to their game that a lot of other games already have day 1. I'm more upset with that...

I 💯 agree.

One of the biggest content creators for your game telling you that you need to devote more resources to fixing bugs shows that this needs to be done.
