Here's how I would reduce the grind. How about you?

Purchasing a new Survivor / Killer

  • 150,000 BP for each character purchased
  • 15 Escape Cakes / Survivor Puddings automatically on each new character purchased

Bloodweb

  • Remove 20,000 BP fee to Prestige
  • Slight reduction on common, uncommon and rare nodes:

Offerings

  • BP Offerings should grant 100/150/200% in the category they are for.

New Generic Perk Shop

  • Allow players to unlock Generic Perks that will be accessible on all characters without having to repurchase them at every tier, every time a new character comes out.
  • They could be available to universally unlock on all characters for X amount of Bloodpoints or Shards.

Good ideas, I support all this. The grind is way too difficult for new players

Some sort of bloodweb change is necessary eventually. At least we aren't stuck with the old system.

Good ideas. The 20.000BP Prestige thing is just stupid and unnecessary.

Holo Shell and Sealed Envelope and Escape Cake and Survivor Pudding are so strange. Both have the same rarity but the other one is 75% better. The developers should buff Holo Shell and Sealed Envelope to 100% in all categories and rework the Escape Cake and Survivor Pudding to 50% but for all players (mini BPS). This would encourage a better player spirit like no matter how the game ends at least you get a good amount of BP.

Then, make one green BP Offering that gives you in every category +75% and rework two of them: one gives you extra Rift Fragment Points and the other one extra XP. Same for yellow and brown: make one BP Offering for all categories and then one for Rift and Player XP but slightly less than their better version. Every other green, yellow and brown BP Offering gets removed from the game. This way, it reduces the grind overall by having less useless Offerings in the bloodweb while the rift and XP Offerings are a good alternative for players that have unlocked ever BP related thing but want grind for rift or Shards.

3 tiers of perks are 1000% not necessary anymore. 2 max. TBH, having only one tier (so basically what they are at t3) that just unlock for everyone at P1 is more than enough of a grind in my opinion. And this won't even benefit me, so this isn't coming from a place of complaining it's too much. Most of the work is already done for me as far as unlocking perks. Then the next 6 Prestige levels for the charms and bloody cosmetics. Then you can always P100 characters. Not to mention completing past tomes, ect. There's plenty for the grinders.

If they wanted to have something to unlock to take the places of P2 and P3 and keep the charms at P4-6 and the cosmetics at P7-9, that's whatever. And you can do this with 2 tiers instead of just the one, but they just reworked the bloodweb/grind not too long ago, and it's already out dated so may as well leave the next rework with room to grow into.

I just can't recommend this game to anyone, honestly LOL. Someone will ask me about it, I start explaining how perks work, unlocking them, prestiging and I can always see the second their eyes get that "yeah….. thanks but noooooooo" look.

Some good ideas in this thread.

Absolutely agree on perk tiers. They don't serve a purpose anymore. I see tier 3 perks 99% of the time in my games. I imaginee the only time players are intentionally running tier 1 or tier 2 perks are new accounts or players who just have to do a daily. Well past time to make all perks single tier. Would cut down on development time a bit too. It's pretty ridiculous that they have to code 3 tiers of perks when players are only ever running tier 3.

The bloodweb could really use some attention. It's painfully slow. The auto-spend helped, but it still shouldn't take 5+ minutes to spend BP. There's little optimizations they could make. I probably don't need to see the level pop up after each web when I'm on P30. This should be an afterthought, not a reason groups take breaks in-between games.

I also agree with removing perk tiers. They made sense back then when the game was new, when the game had less perks and the bloodpoint gain was lower, but now perk tiers are completely pointless. Their only purpose right now is to fill in the gaps between prestige level rewards.

Shrine of Secrets should include at least 16 perks instead of 4. 8 for Killer and 8 for Survivor. Like perk tiers, this made sense back in the day when there were less perks in the game, but considering the fact that we're nearing almost 300, both sides included, there needs to be ways for new players and players who are returning to the game to unlock perks quicker.

This may be an iffy suggestion, but all original characters released in 2018 and earlier should be free for all players.

A good chunk of offerings should go too. Common and Uncommon offerings for individual bloodpoint categories should be retired and the Rare version of these offerings should be relegated to Uncommon. Like the Moonlight and Splinter offerings, mist, luck, and IMO chest offerings should all be retired.

    DEEPL translation is used

    I agree with this idea.
Not being able to play the game often, I have been playing DBD for almost a year and still have many tier 1 perks and cannot use BP on my favorite characters because I have to spend BP to make them tier 3.

I think many newbies suffer from this problem, so I think there needs to be a mechanism to eliminate this task so that they can enjoy the game.
