What I dislike most about 2v8.v2 - Unhooking next to Killer.

Options

[CHANGE] When a Survivor is near a caged Survivor, the cage will no longer move even if there is a Killer nearby.

The frustrations of being tunneled dead after you get unhooked is way worse.
Survivor who play at my MMR have very little idea about when is a good or bad idea to unhook, which mades many very frustrating experiences and Im surprised because you know most people hate getting tunneled, but you changed a mechanic to enable it more. Overall I think v3 would be way better without this new change.

I agree that change has made things way more frustrating and I hope it gets reverted, but I'm curious why you think the problem is Survivor behavior or skill? What would you have a teammate who gets cut off going for a save do instead? Leave you in the cage? Getting rescued in front of the killer is better than not getting rescued at all, and I've been seeing a lot of survivors not get rescued at all because of this change.

Yeah honestly I've been tunneled off cage so many times due to the incompetency of the survivors I'm being matched with. I believe this is due to MMR being non-existent since this is a "party mode". A change to this would be so helpful because being uncaged right next to the killer is terrible, even if they had to run across the map to save you.

I do get the frustration of having the cage move as I'm going for the save, but what they did wasn't the solution. The real problem was that the cages moved too fast.

It would've been better to implement a mini-Kindred, like maybe show Survivor auras when they're within 32 meters of the cage or something. So if people were across the map, they could stay there and then maybe the cage would respawn near them. Also have the mechanic work like the anti-facecamp, slow down when Survivors are nearby (but don't stop it entirely).

I agree that the old version of the cage mechanic was better. In most cases it's not a real problem, but some of these killers have figured out where the cages will spawn and how to proxy camp them.

And because MMR is essentially nonexistent in 2v8, you have a lot of teammates who have no idea how to deal with this.

I'd much rather the cage move after a few seconds of the killer being near than the current iteration. As it is, it just leads to the same sort of boring crap we see in 1v4.
