My guess in why there wasn't a map released with the hound master
Skull merchant, Larry, Knight, and the Unknown all had backgrounds that were from their orginal map. I don't think hound master is the exception. The roadmap said there was supposed to be a map so my guess is that they were dividing resources for the new Ormond map with a swamp rework that was supposed to come out with the houndmaster and they ran out of time. Judging by the trailer and background i can confidently say that the new Ormond type map was not the hound masters map. Perhaps in the future the map thats in the background will come out . I hope my guess is right but they can always just scrap it

My theory was always that the rework was going to happen at the same time as Project T's release, since the game was set in the Backwater Swamp. They're probably just trying to find the best time to release it amongst everything else. Or it may have needed editing since Project T's cancellation.

thats a good reason. I forgot about the whole project t thing. The background of the houndmaster looks so cool so hopefully they will release it sometime soon

I hope you're right, because the current backdrop with the creepy manor and gloomy bog looks great and I'd love for the swamp maps to look like that. A proper pirate hideout map for the Houndmaster would be fantastic as well.

The background is the best we gotten all year. The movie theatre was nice but the manor is so cool

i like spooky mansions. RE1s spencers mansion is so cool. Wished they used that instead of RPD or they added that in the 2nd re chapter

A Dev on here named Mandy said specifically that the Trailer has nothing to do with the swamp rework and is an environment just for the trailer.

The map in the ptb was only for the ptb. It was clearly stated as such.
Will come out in the future? Who knows.
But it was never getting released in the latest update.

I would honestly like them to not ruin the last few maps The Huntress is tolerable on. A few of The Swamp maps and Thompson house maps are the only maps left without an unbearable amount of clutter.
