Cheating is rampant tonight
Anyone else notice this? Had multiple games in a row now where someone was clearly moving at 105% the entire game, had 1 where i had the new perk that shows the gen with the most progress in yellow, and i went to it, and the gen was at 20%, i kicked it, and 5 seconds later a different gen was completed. Had a game as survivor where someone was clearly just moving faster than me the whole game.

I saw people pulling the dog away from me and "scooting" farther away everytime id go to hit them, but that mightve just been her beingg a buggy mess

had subtle speed hacks done to me with multiple survivors using overcome to mask it. The game right after ward was a sable with no collision doing gens right in front of me. Couldn’t hit her and after the Gen was done she speed away across the map. I was done for the night after that

Had 2 blatant cheaters in 1 match flying around the map and goofying in general.
Reports does nothing, creating a ticket also does nothing, and very time consuming, so… Whatever.

The sad thing is that there are a lot of people complaining about cheats/hacks in the game but in the same time also spending hundreds of dollars on skins, so sad it's funny again.
Advantageous IQ player base for BHVR sales.

If I had cheaters in 8 games out of 10 - I'd like to see how I'm gonna spend money on such game or even bother to play.
Fortunately cheaters now less of a problem than it was in 2021-2022, and the future of this game is still bright to me.
That's why I'm still buying what I like.

I've been playing the game since the beginning of 2018 and have seen many ups and downs.
I didn't have the first cheater until the end of 2019. Then the obvious cheaters really started. Since then these have become much fewer. I rarely have obvious cheaters these days, but I have many who try keep it subtle.
Because many players are not very experienced in DBD, they don't recognize the slight differences, which is not a problem if you don't have that much experience. But the hacker/cheater problem is more serious than the average DBD player realizes.1 -
As an average player - I do not care about cheaters, and I should not be concerned about dealing with cheaters. When I was concerned and tried to deal with them - my reports and tickets been ignored and unsolved.
Never even once I've had a pop-up window about "actions been taken against player you've reported" when I was booting up the game. And I've been reporting a blatant cheaters, creating tickets (also against the one with the YT channel) God knows how many of them.
If I was a big streamer - any report or ticket made by me would've been answered day 1.
As of now - I'm not using an in-game report, I don't create tickets about anything, and I don't report about any bugs. If something is going to bother me in the game - I'd just play a different game, as any average player would do.
I hope I answered about: - "How serious the cheating problem for the average DBD player."

I couldn't have asked for a better example.
You ignore my tickets/problems whatever, take all my money and do whatever you want.
This is the reason why games like FIFA and Call of Duty XY continue to sell so well every year even though there is almost no new content.
and regarding the cheater targeting:
Cheaters who cheat/hack subtly ideally don't want to play against streamers at all, as they often have the experience to convict them. The software they use makes it possible to either play against streamers or avoid them. Many like you turn a blind eye to this and that's why the situation doesn't improve, unfortunately that's the gaming sector now. The consumer determines the market.

"Many like you turn a blind eye to this and that's why the situation doesn't improve" -
"I missed the part where that's my problem." - Peter Parker.
Dude, it's simple - If you don't like the game, don't like something about the game - don't buy anything and don't play it. You can try to complain, in hopes of being listened.
Vote with your money and vote with your hours of play-time. This is what average players do, ultimately they don't care about "bigger problem" and rightfully so.
We have plenty other games to play by any time.

Your points are as correct as mine. It's nice that we agree

My favorite one from last night was on Lerys. You know the main office window that can spawn above the basement stairs? How there's only one way from the basement stairs to the other window? Survivor vaults in front of me, I walk around and stop at the basement stairs before they land, and then they vault the other window. So they must've had some teleport perk
