Spider Killer Concept (Arachnophobia Warning | No Picture) | Threads of Fate

New Killer: The Spinner
M/S: 4.6
Terror Radius: 32 meters (40 meter lullaby)
Size: Medium
Design: Visually similar to a large Australian Funnel-web spider with reddish accents across it's back and legs and large, black eyes on the front of it's body.
A territorial killer, capable of navigating the terrain none other can. With it's power, it is capable of locating survivors from afar and immobilizing those close to it.
Personal Perks:
Cruel Descent: As an ambush predator, you know that alerting your prey can spell disaster. Start the trial with the Undetectable status effect for 60/70/80 seconds. End the Status effect early if a survivor is put into the dying state by any means. The first survivor downed while Cruel Descent is active, becomes the obsession and suffers from the oblivious status effect for 80 seconds.
Hex: Liquid Diet - Your unique apatite is delicious torture. The first time you injure a survivor, curse them. Anytime a survivor cursed this way triggers a timed effect of Killer Instinct for a certain amount of seconds, that timer is doubled and they suffer a -4% Hinderance to their movement speed whilst Killer Instinct is active. The associated survivor can then see the totem this Hex is tied from 24/20/16 meters away.
Vibration Sense - Your acute senses were made for catching mobile prey. Anytime a survivor fast vaults 8/12/14 meters from your location, gain a token up to a max of 4. For every token collected, Bloodlust tier 1, 2, and 3 arrives 2 seconds sooner. Upon reaching Bloodlust tier 3, the survivor gains the Exposed Status effect and has their aura revealed. Lose all tokens once the survivor is downed.
Power: Territorial Imperative - Press and Hold down the power button to enter Crawler Mode. Within Crawler Mode, the Spinner moves at 105% movement speed (4.2 m/s) and leaves behind webbing wherever it moves (with a similar consistency and spread as survivor's scratch marks). This passive webbing effect grants Killer Instinct to any survivors who move within the webbing, plus an additional 3 seconds after leaving. The webbing will dissipate 20 seconds after spawning. Only up to 24 meters total can passive webbing be generated.
Special Effect: Adhesive - While the Spinner is in Crawler Mode, The power gauge will deplete 1% per second if it is on the floor or 1.5% if it is on another surface. The Spinner has a small crosshair, always pointing to where the floor is at all times. The Spinner may crawl upon any surface that is not within a 5 meters grace-area of a window vault or pallet. The Spinner recharges it's power gauge whilst not in use at a rate of 1.5% per second.
Special Power: Webline - While in Crawler Mode, press the primary attack button to sacrifice 50% of your total power gauge to spit out a 12 meter long, 1 meter wide Webline projectile. This projectile can connect with any terrain at any level so long as there are no obstacles in-between, totems within 2 meters or within the vaulting grace-area at either end of of the webline. You may crawl upon this Webline effortlessly while charging Crawler Mode, of which your power gauge will pause it's recharge rate. You may have 2 Weblines active anywhere in the trial, with the newest replacing the oldest. Survivors may vault these weblines, however after doing so, their hands will remain stuck to the webbing for 1.5 seconds. A survivor in range may also come to a webline and pry it apart with a unique action that takes 6 seconds. After which you gain a loud-noise notification and the aura of the survivor is revealed to you for 6 seconds. Spitting out a projectile at a survivor highlights them with Spider-Sense for 15 seconds.
Special Status: Spider-Sense - A survivor afflicted with Spider-Sense will become immobilized for 4 seconds contact with the passive webbing generated by Crawler Mode. After the 4 seconds, a survivor may walk through the passive webbing but cannot run. This penalty resets after leaving the passive webbing.
Brown Add-ons:
Bursted Egg Sack - The egg shell which contained a brand new species. Increase the duration of spider-sense by 2 seconds.
Insectoid Carcass - Extra protein was essential for size development. Webbing generated by crawler mode spawns 5% wider.
Molted Form - A piece of moldy flesh from a simpler time. Increase the time it takes survivors to pry apart a webline by 1 second. Increase the aura-reading duration after a webline is pried apart by 1 as well.
Lost Handkerchief - When rumors spread of something in the rainforest, some belongings were misplaced. Increase the duration of Killer Instinct by 2 seconds when a survivor comes in contact with your passive webbing.
Yellow Add-ons (5):
Cracked Telescope - They tried locating it from the skies. Still it evaded capture. Exiting out of crawler mode hides your red-stain for 6 seconds.
Dried Venom - A different body was required in order to create the medicines they desired. Basic Attacks leave your victim Blind for 12 seconds.
Mysterious Tuft of Hair - Evidence that some kind of unique creature lingered in the Australian jungle. Crawling on a surface other than the floor shrinks your terror radius by 4 meters.
Flickering Lantern - It was a common joke children would play on each other. Locate it in the wilderness and they'd become famous. Dropping down from any height causes survivors within 14 meters to scream.
Green Add-ons (5)
Safari Hat - When news began to propagate, so did it's territory. Survivors who vault a webline become Oblivious for 30 seconds.
Chipped Fang - When a piece of it broke off, a replacement was soon generated. It just needed the protein. Injuring a survivor while falling from any height, inflicts the Broken status effect for 60 seconds.
Fine Course Hair - They brought back a sample to confirm if it was the creature they created. Survivors who pry apart a webline have their auras revealed an additional 3 seconds
Plucked Eyes - The need for more meat gave it an enhanced brain capacity. Shooting a Webline at a survivor also reveals their aura for 6 seconds.
Recording Camera - The footage ends with a large eight-legged shadow obscuring the moonlight. Passive webbing generated by Crawler Mode stays 3 seconds longer per survivor injured, dying or on a hook.
Purple Add-ons (4)
Brood Nest - If they got what they wanted, they could sell this species' venom and become billionaires. Miniature spiders traverse your weblines. If a survivor vaults one of your weblines while injured, they will become Deep-Wounded.
Egg Plethora - In order to maintain an eventual market, it needed to be able fertilize it's own eggs. Miniature spiders traverse your passive webbing. Healthy survivors who remain inside the passive webbing will become injured if lingering within more than 4 seconds. Does not work on injured survivors.
Damaged Cassette Tape - A tape of raw, uninterrupted screaming. The screams become muffled as it draws it's end. Increase your recharge rate of Crawler mode an additional 4% per survivor injured, dying or on a hook. Additionally your webline is 10% cheaper as well.
Hollow Mechanical Parts - It couldn't always protect it's young, knowing eventually they would consume it. Miniature Spiders traverse the generators in the trial. Reduce the size of a successful skill-check zone by 5%. Gain Killer instinct on a survivor for 5 seconds if they fail a skill-check.
Red Add-ons (2)
Iridescent Molten Flesh - Evolution is often cruel but it's intention is to always birth something grander. Miniature spiders traverse your body. Anytime a survivor comes in contact with your passive webbing or your webline, gain 5% Haste. Additionally if a survivor attempts to pry apart your webline, they will face continuous skill checks as miniature survivors swarm their bodies.
Hollow Head - That which does not kill it, becomes fuel for it's progeny. Your Webline turns into a projectile you can fire at unthrown pallets and broken walls to block them off. This projectile is 30% cheaper than normal and up to 5 can can become webbed this way, with the newest replacing the oldest. Increase the range this projectile can be spit by 100%.
Mori: The Spinner pins a survivors shoulder to the floor with it's massive leg and bites them in the chest. Miniature spiders descend down it's head into the survivor's pierced chest. Miniature spiders swarm the survivor as the Spinner webs them to the floor. Miniature spiders move all across the webbed survivor as their muffled screams slowly fade.
Lore: Originally created by a team of Australian scientists, this bioengineered creature hopefully would be able to produce adaptive venom so it's breeders could reverse engineer it's compounds into a potent medicine. They needed to create a spider that could learn from it's own diet and take on new, organic properties. At first it was a redounding success as these scientist won the Nobel prize for generating a brand new kind of anti-venom.
However since this spider species was the only one of it's kind they needed a way to make more. Trying to cross breed it with other spiders only led to the other spider's demise. Becoming fiercely territorial at the sight of any other similarly sized creature. They then took the spider and fed it different kind's of organisms, such as fish, synthetic proteins, and mammalian brains to try and experiment with it's capabilities.
It's needs would grow ever more exponential as the more food, it was fed, the more it would require, however, they did eventually get what they wanted. The spider became hermaphroditical and spawned clones of it's self via mitosis, however it's progeny were equally competitive. The spider was forced to consume it's own children for survival, which lead to it bloating and nearly dying.
The scientists had tried to sedate this creature. In a bloody stupor, the spider was capable of devouring most of the team that created it. The creature soon escaped it's captivity, growing larger and larger as the days continued. Seeking shelter in the rainforests, it required a new habitat it could never find. With it's children desiring to kill it, and itself needing to survive it needed to create a habitat for itself, where it was safe and had a steady influx of meals.
As years went by, it's animalistic desires would be answered. One stormy night, a thick black fog enveloped the rainforest, and the legend that flooded Australia's wilderness would soon greet it's new home, and it's new master.
