Lights Out
I really liked the first Lights Out, despite the fact Freddy wasn't available.
I think the return towards horror that first modifier had was something the game needed, and I enjoyed every game I played during that week. Plus that is when I started playing Knight, and he became one of my favorite killers.

I will say: 2v8 > Lights Out > Chaos Shuffle. My little Oni was just an April fool's thing.

Chaos Shuffle
Chaos Shuffle was my favourote by far, mainly because everyone in that mode would be playing very close to how I play in regular games. Also, I loved the unpredictability of the mode.

Lights Out
Lights Out but only the 2.0 castlevania version. The 1st one was very frustrating but i feel like they addressed a lot of that in the 2nd one. I thought the atmosphere was amazing and the balance was a lot better.

Chaos Shuffle
I never played My Little Oni, so I have no horse in that race.
Lights Out caused active physical pain from straining my eyes to the point it felt like someone was driving needles into my eyes for around five HOURS after stopping. After that, I only played one match of the Castlevania rendition to see if it was any better, and found it basically unchanged. Never playing any rendition of it again.
Maybe when more Killers come in, I'll change my tune, but right now there's only one Killer in the 2v8 roster I can actually play consistently (Wraith), and all of the others are either Trapper or my literal worst performing killers. That coupled with the absurd wait times and this is basically another skip for me. And then there's the license issue where a good chunk of Killers will likely NEVER be playable, and my interest wanes even more.
Chaos Shuffle is almost perfect. I already play very chaotic, useless builds, so that part never hindered me, and with everyone else on an even playing field, it felt like one of the fairest modes. The only changes I'd make is to further the randomness by mixing up items and add-ons as well.

- Chaos Shuffle - is a dream mode of mine - but it really only made me realize just how BAD the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of this game's content is. I love BHVR and honor them for carefully cultivating this game over the years, and I respect them by acknowledging that 2/3rds of the perks on offer (for either side) are straight D tier or lower garbage. I'd like even more randomness - but they need to do some massive overhauls on perks and core content before the game mode is anything more than a self-troll gambling machine.
- Lights Out - Fun and interesting, but very lacking. The atmospheric element is strong, but matches play out very similarly, making it fizzle quickly.
- My Little Oni - Hilarious as HECK! I really loved playing it, although I think it's good for little more than a few laughs and a quick retirement. I can't imagine it being around for longer than two weeks, but I also can't imagine playing it for longer than 2 hours.
- 2 vs 8 - I get to play Killer with my best friends, and I can invite an entire congo-line of buddies to run around as Survivor with me. It's just intense enough for us all to laugh, and just silly enough for all of us not to care about the results. Many fond memories came out of this last rollout, and I'm very thankful to the event devs behind the scenes for being wizards and making the dream-work happen.
