Folklore Chapter idea
up here in cold Minnesota we have a little fella known as The Wendigo. Unlike the modern version with the deer skull it appears as a thin man who is barely more then skin and bone. I love the idea of showing what these legends were originally. The survivor could be a native with connections to whoever became the wendigo.
I only have a foggy memory of the rest of the legend of wendigos so I won’t say much more as to not get it wrong.
would this be something you would buy/play?

I don't remember accurately but was not there controversy about using Wendigo as killer being disrespectful to natives or something?
It would be cool if Wendigo becomes the new killer tho

I can see how it would be if they didn’t consult anyone but if they talk with natives to understand what the real wendigo is instead of the Hollywood version I think it would be better; however, I do understand if they wouldn’t want to have it in a 1v4 video game.

I don't think the controversary if over its association with Native Americans in particular (the Ojibwe / Algonquian is I think the general association), but that this is something that BHVR avoids entirely. They seem to want to avoid any type of mythological / folklore / legendary creature (we don't have demons, or Fae, or Werewolves, though sometimes BHVR spins those concepts into their own original character), unless they are licensing it from someone. We don't have a general vampire or Dracula, even though that would be free for them, we have Castlevania's Dracula.

If we're ever going to get a Wendigo in DBD, it needs to be through an Until Dawn chapter. I'll die on that hill
