What balance change should ToTH get in your opinion?
Full rework?
Nerf?
Revert?
Intermediate between both?

In the next hot fix? Revert. 100%
Any change, buff, or rework should be tested internally, then ptb, then go live. Like basically everything else.
The fact that this wasn't in the patch notes, road maps, or in the ptb test tells me this was entirely an error that this went live at all.

I got 3 ideas:
- It goes back to 10% and it doesn’t spawn a hex.
- It gets nerfed to 12%
- It goes back to 10%, but gets a secondary effect like for each hex/dull totem the generator repair, healing and sabotage speeds are reduced by 3%.
I hope for the third one the most, because it would make it a decent/strong perk and it could be played without requiring other hex perks to do something.
Most likely is a revert back to 10% or a nerf to 12% if we are lucky.

Nerf it to 12%
3 -
Surprised about the amount of people saying 12%, that's 35 seconds on the first totem, and 26 seconds on the second totem
Which, well, adds up with penti...
4 -
rework it completely or buff it to 12 and change screaming resetting totem progress.

Revert it back to its 2.6.0 iteration and we should be good.

Well, you asked for their opinions. And it would be a nerf compared to now, which is what everyone's demanding. I still think 2 things.
1) It's too soon to call this iteration OP. People are flat out refusing to bring counters to the perk (or even strategize to counter the perk), just as they refused to bring DS/OTR for tunneling. Good players will not lose to TOTH. They'll just do the gens and run out. The meta needs time to settle.
2) If/when the meta settles, and this perk is found to be fine, I don't think players will accept it. We saw old Pop/Pain Res do enough regression to where the survivors basically had to do 8+ gens worth of gens, with the killer getting like 7 hooks, and they were still 3-4 man escaping. And after those versions were nerfed, the nerfed versions got nerfed again because survivors couldn't accept the killer having slowdown. They couldn't accept that maybe they were just inefficient with their huge time advantage. So I don't expect TOTH or any other decent killer perk to be judged fairly now. It's just catering to casuals, and then top level survivors have tons of broken stuff to abuse.

Had a match last night a Doc with Thrill, Infectious, Distressing, Devour + Double Calms
Find glowy totem "Ooo piece of candy" > Cleansed to 90% > Static Blast > Cleansed to 50% -> Infectious Fright -> Cleansed to 70% -> Chased off by Doc -> Gives up since 2 gens left -> Devour Hope Procs -> Doc proceeds to slug everyone
:)Internal Pain3 -
well its mostly bc ppl like myself just don't want to see it be nerf to 10% and nothing else changed about the perk. Since devs are hellbent on getting rid of all bp bouns(something I really don't like and wish they stop doing it) then Thill needs something else to replace what it lost. Either nerf it 12% and see what happens or take it back to 10% and give it a 2nd effect in place of the bp bouns like having you break pallets a little faster based on how many tokens you have left.
Either way there ppl like myself who just dont want to see the perk be nerfed back to 10% and nothing else done to it.
3 -
nerfed to 12%, but at the core, totem spawns need to be reworked asap
1 -
Revert it. I didn't ask for these changes
4 -
Revert it amd increase the BP you could get from it.
Yes, I know they want to remove BP bonuses from perks for some pointless and fickle reason, but if I could choose I'd return it to the original strength and increase the BP bonus to 100% for the Hunter category for as long as the Totem exists.
A bit like Distressing when it used to have 100% bonus for Deviousness category actions. They ought to revert the BP bonuses for that and other perks too.
4 -
Revert it and test it with view to a more sensible buff in the next PTB.
2 -
Tbh while it should've been in the PTB I think BHVR just didn't realise how much impact adding 4% to a perk that I imagine doesn't see much play would cause
I don't think anyone could've guessed thrill of the hunt would shoot up to meta status over night but here we are.
1 -
Don't killers just combine number 3 with Penti? Whatever the survivor do you as killer have substantial slow down.
1 -
Just put the numbers between what they are and what they were
0 -
Buff it to 20%...
5 -
Fun fact: That would equal to 0 charges per second
3 -
Exactly - make hexes impossible to cleanse in exchange for a perk slot. Surely that would still be balanced :clueless:
6 -
Effect doubled vs. SWFs, halved vs. solo players.
2 -
Sure, but you only need to cleanse thrill once and pentimento is exactly the same as it currently is. Thrill would also only take 28s again instead of 47, which would make it fair.

Nothing?
1 -
Either nerf it to 12% per token
OR
Make it so it stays the same, but only works on hex totems.
1 -
No need to rework it or nerf it to be worse than it used to be, that would be a waste of resources. The perk was fine before the change, if they wanted a small buff they could make it 11% per totem instead of 10%, but we'll see.
3 -
Imagine breaking a totem and it getting penti'd and now everyone is at -44% repair speed, making gens take 160 seconds.
1 -
So we pretend that Undying doesn't exist?
1 -
That doesn’t change much either. That’s one perk slot less just for a second chance for this perk. Just cleanse it again.
2 -
Nerf it to 12% or nobody has any reason to use it, since it no longer gives BP. That or they have to rework it. Just reverting the buff makes no sense and will add it back to the useless pile; BHVR is trying to prevent perks from being in the useless pile.

Personally, I want it to go back to 10% per token but no longer spawn a hex so the stages of slowdown are guaranteed, but that might be a little bit much for a hotfix.
Honestly, if they just revert it back to 10% and call it a day, that's fine. Big changes should go on PTBs anyway, no reason it couldn't be thrown onto the next one, or the one after that.
