Which Maps are Neutral and don't favor one side?

Which map offering do you not mind seeing the other side play or Which maps are, in your opinion, neutral? Meaning the match could go in anyone's favor?

I personally don't subscribe to any map being Killer or Survivor sided (I can hear you all screaming at me, please stop)

I have Killers, Myers in particular, that bring Crows eye offerings and destroy the lobby.

I am interested in everyone's thoughts on which maps are fair?

These are maps I think are balanced. I dont like seeing map offerings at all though and wish they were just removed at this point.

    But…

Think… macmillans and autohavens are … fairly balanced.

    Crotus'.

    Swamps.

    Red Forests

    Shattered Sq, not Forgotten ruins…

Toba's and Nostromo. Hate them both on both sides…. maybe not so much Nostromo for survivors…

Some gamers pretend to be game experts and do not choose favorable maps, but it is these novice players who are often eliminated early in the game.

All maps are good maps, and victory or defeat has nothing to do with the map

Honestly I think Dead Dawg and Hawkin's a good examples of (fairly) neutral maps.

The Generator spread is a lot more tight compared to other maps but the loops can vary in strength but can lean towards the stronger side if ran right. There are opportunities for either side to perform well.

There's just too many variables when it comes to map balance, the largest one being which killer gets which map.

The closest imo would be the Swamps currently.

Coal Tower if I had one single choice.

I think Pale Rose is the closest we have to a neutral, balanced map.

There is no real killersided map because every killer is map dependent. Killers like Ghost Face or Myers have a better match up on Lerries or Midwich while Billy and Oni have a rather bad match up on these maps since these maps limit their mobility and power. So, it is more of a good for survivors and bad for survivors. However, some can be overall balanced for both sides and many killers (or at least give a fair match up) but some maps also depend on the RNG, for example; Mother Dwelling can be a fair map but once the mainbuilding has the window in the back, this map is much better for survivors. But in general fair maps are Toba Landing, Nostromo, Greenville Square, both Yamako (but not their variants) The shattered Square, Tempel, and Saloon. These are the maps that comes to mind when I think about balance maps for both sides. If I get this map randomly, I have a neutral feeling. Other maps are either too good or bad for one side in some way (Indoor map or the old ones with their four/five gens, too many strong loops, not many loops ect.)

Before the recent MacMillan reworks, definitely. Coal Tower is the gold standard IMO.

I think it depends entirely on the killer tbh. Hillbilly is much worse on midwitch than he is on coldwind farm imo. Stealth killers are also way worse at open maps than indoor maps.

    Coldwind, MacMillan, Swamp, & Nostramos

Toba Landing is the most balanced level there is

I preferred the OG Toba. As I feel the new one favoured 3 gen/Ultimate Weapon shenanigans but now that that's gone we are cooking again

If I ever got sent to hell, forced to spend all eternity playing dbd but I could pick 1 map it'd be Toba

Toba Landing was changed? I didn't know that.

How was its OG version different than the one we currently have?

It had more bush and clutter. Billy/Blight mains hated it

Yes, that change came very quickly if I recall correctly. Too much clutter.

I'm going to have to search for a couple videos or VODs, because now I want to see it.

I wasn't around for the release of the End Transmission chapter (though I did get to see the infamous "It wasn't programmed to harm the crew"). There is quite a significant number of things from the modern DBD that I didn't get to experience.

I honestly believe it was changed in the first hotfix after release.
