Reporting people for not playing the way you want is hilarious
Just had a match where myself and one other person decided to run around throwing snowballs and getting event points. With it being rank re-sweats all the slugging tunneling and camping killers are afoot. After 3 matches of that I decided “cool I’ll just min max the event until I die and go next” I ended up taking all 3 of my hook states and threw snowballs at killer and snowmen.
Teammate in end game chat yelled at me for throwing and reported me. Lol
I get that they’re mad I didn’t try the way they wanted me to, but bro, stop reporting people for non-actionable offenses. It’s just silly 😆

I tried a hide and seek in snowmen game and killer auto ran to any of us in one and hit ignoring the rest.

It's a voluntary event with temporary fun objectives and people complain when you participate in it? Lol I'd just laugh it off. They could just play normal mode and all their problems would disappear

In the Halloween event, there was a pretty hopeless match where another survivor and I were the last two left. And I can't remember if we had the gates powered or it was a hopeless three gen, or whatever.
But I just ran around kicking pumpkins at that point because why not do something silly when you're not going to escape? I had given the killer some good chases earlier in the match and was ready to go down and let my teammate get a chance at hatch since I wasn't even kind of trying to hide. But my teammate made a play for whatever the next survivor goal was and got their last hook.
When the match was done, I had 112,000 bp, so I just started laughing. But my teammate was pretty grumpy about it...

I'd consider that refusing to participate in normal gameplay. You can throw snowballs and mess with snowmen, but your teammates are trying to win, so don't do it at the expense of doing the rest of the normal game. That's one of the biggest problems survivor has always had, which is teammates who don't do generators. Usually people who fall back on, "It's my game, so I can do what I want" are griefers.

It feels like a lot of the fun has been sucked out of DBD these days, very few people play for fun anymore but rather it feels like a sweat fest.
Probably 1 in 50/100 matches I get lucky in solo queue and I get a team of good players who also are happy to throw to have fun. I am at the point I am really struggling to find a way to have fun playing solo queue survivor at present.

As ever, bad teammates mad they can't WinMoar ruin rounds.
And they're always petty little morons about it.

Id usually agree with something like this, but you have the option to play the normal mode. And from experience, the queue times are basically the same

I mean it is a borderline bannable offense where if people reported you for doing it match after match with no working on gens, hook saves, healing, chases, ect then yeah you will probably catch a temp ban for signing up for matches and not playing in them to just farm event points if people are trying to play a regular match.

The amount of sweat that is going on in this event, slugging all around or hard-tunneling lol. So many skillful players! But that is only IF they game doesn't lag tf out and actually let's you open the lobby.
I honestly would care about people like that as much as BHVR does about the amount of bugs in their game :)

The event mode doesnt allow you to just throw the game by only doing event things. The gamemode has the same basic gameplay as the normal mode. If you dont contribute to this of course it can be considered a reportable offense as "not participating in normal gameplay".
