I like playing as the new killer, and I like how she was voiced, I have no complaints about the selection of the actress for this role, but hearing the same lines a hundred times is annoying and spoils the atmosphere of the game.

This game has been in need of some more robust volume controls for a while for sure. I'd also like to see a slider for in-game chase music.

As far as I remember, this question was mentioned a long time ago on one of the streams with the developers. The answer was that it was intended so that the killer would not hear the sounds of the survivor's footsteps perfectly during the chase, so this is unlikely to happen.
