What is the Junji Ito Dredge cosmetic based on?

The dredge cosmetic is by far my #1 favorite in the collection and is the first cosmetic I am going to buy, however I did some research on each characters in the collection as to where the skins are based from but I could never understand where the Dredge one comes from. Anyone know?

    Ok, research done.

    Its from a story titled "the misterious tunnel" thats is about a tunnel that present a paranormal phenomenon about ghost being trapped within. I hope it answers the question.
