Is reporting people still a thing?

How does one report people?

I'm on PS5 they were PC.

Can't get real profiles.

Just have a few android videos .mp4 which the system won't let me upload here.

Don't bother to do a ticket if you're on a console. It's a complete hassle. Just do a in-game report and move on

Use ps5 capture and upload it on ytd, that works for me when am reporting people, I play on both pc and ps5 but certainly rather ps5 since recording is alot more easier.

I have reported many people for various things, it does work. just 2 days ago I had an in game msg saying thank you for helping with a date of my report I sent in few days previously. and said appropriate action has been taken. Just depends what your reporting. A lot of people report players for things that are not reportable such as slugging and tunneling so when nothing comes of it they wonder if the system actually works.

you getting notification does not guarantee it was your report, that lead to someone getting banned. Just some other people were not lazy to report with ticket to support

Hey I don't care, maybe it was, maybe it wasn't.

Either way you cant say it wasn't my report and at the end of the day I get to know that action was taken and I am not someone who reports ridiculous things like being tunnelled or camped, so the person I reported deserved punishment no matter what and while it would be nice to know what was done, at least I know they did take action.

Eh, it's not that much of a hassle. I play primarily on PS5 and I've filed a few reports that apparently resulted in action. Just have to capture and export the video.

That said, a lot of people don't think reporting works because they try to report stuff that isn't against the rules. Everything I've reported has been obvious and blatant cheating.

That nurse seem to be on one heck of a hack spree, there are many streamers with videos of that nurse doing that.

I don't think it was the same Nurse, this is in OCE and I think the same cheats were doing the rounds. Their name was literally advertising the cheat

When player reporting someone for blatant cheats or any other violation of the rules, they want to see that their reports works.

As someone who have been reporting blatant cheaters, bug-abusers, end-game chat harassment for more than 2k h - I haven't received a notification in game even ONCE. Yes, you've read it right - not even ONCE. Not only that - I made a ticket on a blatant cheater who have a YT channel, been constantly posting and advertising cheats for DBD. I waited for answer from the support team for 13 days, and they've only answered when I made a post on the forum about asking if support team even works.

The guy wasn't banned. My time was greatly wasted on all the reports I've been making.

This was a good lesson to me - now, I don't care with reports, tickets, etc, and I don't waste my time and nerves on making them.

I'm still facing cheaters here and there, the "game" doesn't seem like values my time and my investments, so - I don't care if cheaters "ruining" the game for others.

Just to mention - this is my personal experience with the report system and support team of this game. I don't know how they're responding to others.

YUP! What an amazing timing - just went up against Nancy who were constantly accelerating her speed each time she's out of my LOS, caught her lightning speed while using aura reading.

I find this really hard to believe if someone is cheating, since I have had responses less than 12 hours later for blatant cheaters and it must have been that report they actioned as I didn't report anyone else. I also reported team mates who hid in the basement and let us die, then refused to proceed the match and instead continued to hide while preventing crows, I added the killer and told him where they were otherwise they probably would have held him hostage for the entire hour… they also took action on that within a few days.

If this is the case then you are extremely unlucky but this is not at all my experience

Yes I think the reported player needs to have multiple reports against them.

I am on Xbox and on few occasions have uploaded videos with a ticket. Xbox has the app which makes it easier. Once was the killer blocked me the entire game and wouldn't let me play or hang me just kept zapping me. The other few were clear working with killers.
