Remove the DC penalty

I understand that rage quitting is a problem but I shouldn’t have to be punished for losing WiFi connection or my game crashing. It isn’t even effective anymore since it just promotes the go next playstyle where survivors rage quit by making themselves die on hook. Please just remove the penalty.

    The penalty has to stay. If you think survivors suiciding on hook is bad atm, you've clearly never played when survivors and killers can freely shop for an ideal game.

    They should add a penalty for giving up on hook.

    If you lose Wifi so often that you get DC penalties reguarly, then your internet being bad reguarly ruins the experience of other players as well and you being removed from the pool is justified.

    I'm sorry but I am not interested in playing with bots just because my teammate decided they don't want to face a Legion today. The penalty has to stay and if anything, it needs to be harsher.

    If the issue is internet, either you have to fix connectivity on your end, or BHVR has to fix their servers. You vanishing because of a bad connection similarly ruins games, even if you don't intend to. I agree it shouldn't be punished, you didn't mean it, but unfortunately, there's no way that I know of to code for telling the difference, so the game doesn't know any better.

    The DC penalty has to stay, because most people don't disconnect accidentally.

    You need to fix your internet connection if you're getting DC penalties because of it, nothing to do with BHVR there.

    That being said, I do think DC penalties are mostly pointless and hurt team mates more, as people do go next on hook to avoid the DC penalty. When at least a bot is better than absolutely nothing in their place and bots have been better than team mates they have replaced in some matches for me.

    I would like to see other options other than DC penalties myself

    With a leave you ruin the gaming experience for the remaining players.

    Whether it is wanted or not wanted. Unfortunately, this is something that is very difficult for the average gamer to understand, especially in this game, but that's okay.

    Let me explain it with a simple example.

    You're driving your car and your tank empties. Now you're standing on the road and can't move on, nor can the 4 cars behind you. It is your responsibility to check your tank before you start your journey. It is your responsibility to check your WiFi/internet connection before accessing the internet.
