Possible Dev update Thursday?
could we expect a dev update this week or next week on Monday about the preptb patch notes for the Freddy rework? I’m hyped about it and im really drained of the bone chill event. We need something to hype up the community and get discussions going.

I think they are still on vacation for the holidays. We might know something at the end of this week, but I think more than likely it will be next week.

Yes i am predicting a dev update this week because the roadmap says January, PTBs last 3 weeks usually, so i think it has to be next week. The current rift also ends in 20 something days and they start after the previous one ends now.

I am so excited! I can't wait to try out Freddy's Rework -this will be so much fun!

If going by 2022 mid ptb it will be here January 7th if going by 2023 mid ptb if will be here on 14th. Very soon anyway and am excited for fire up

I already know and understand we are not getting his old power back. It would've been perfect and I would be the luckiest player in the Fog to get my killer back, but it isn't going to happen. I don't like it, but it is the truth.
However, it has become clear throughout the last three years that Freddy cannot be left the way he is, under any circumstances. He needs the changes, he really does. Now, the question is whether or not his upcoming changes will actually fix his issues.
And that is what we'll have to wait and see.

dvveet, a prominent leaker on Twitter insinuated that the Freddy Rework is more like a killer update "BHVR is working towards established key terms regarding gameplay changes. This is partly to manage expectations when talking abt upcoming content. An upcoming one for example are the Freddy changes being a Killer Update, not just a Tweak but also not a full Rework.KEY TERMS -• KILLER TWEAK: Number changes, for example increasing / decreasing something by a few seconds or percentage. Ex. The Mastermind’s cooldown change or The Shape’s various changes in December update. • KILLER UPDATE: Changes or new additions that stay within the realm of a Killer’s existing abilities and interactions.Ex. The Singularity receiving Slipstream aim assist and Biopod lock-on.• KILLER REWORK: Changes that fundamentally modify a Killer’s abilities or interactions.Ex. The Hillbilly losing Overheat and instead receiving Overdrive (Power Rework) alongside a complete add-on changes and tweaks." If this turns out to be true, it's going to be very lazy by BHVR imo.

Either the changes does nothing or it does and he will be considered OP, complained about on the forums, Twitter, Reddit and then subsequently gets nerfed 1 month after release. Just look at Chucky.

I really want to see what else they change. Badham maps and Swamps all need balance or a rework or graphical updates, and some Killers could stand more help or addon passes yet. Also they need to look at certain glitches, the audio issue with flashbangs hasn't been fixed and there's still issues with some Killers' powers being janky.
Excited to see Freddy's rework too.
